  1. Check it out... https://www.facebook.com/pages/Tamiya-Sand-Scorcher-Owners-Association/623420801111630?ref=bookmarks
  2. Thanks Percymon! I'll have to look into those!
  3. Thank you Steve and Greg!!! You both have been a big help in solving this problem! I really appreciate it!!!
  4. Do you have any links for these? I appreciate the info, thank you!
  5. Thanks! I've got it saved on Ebay now. Is there a U.S. distributor for this and other batteries?
  6. I apologize if this has been posted before, but I've been out of R/C for awhile. I just got the 2010 Sand Scorcher, and I got all the essentials to make it run, except for a battery pack that fits. I have 3 6 cell stick packs, but they don't fit in the car. I ordered the Tamiya Sport Tuned motor for the car, and picked up a Futaba radio. I had an SS years ago, but they don't make the battery pack for it anymore. I looked up on Ebay for the Tamiya LF Battery, but $76 is way too much. Does anyone have a suggestion for a pack that will fit? Thanks.
  7. Bought the Clod Buster when it first came out. Had no idea the chassis was as brittle as it was. Jumped it off a 4 foot wall. Interesting to watch as the front and rear suspension went in 2 different directions... Found out the next day I had to order a brace that didn't come with the kit...
  8. I don't know... Did ya change the color?
  9. Hmmm... There's something different about your Beetle, I just can't seem to figure out what it is.
  10. That is pretty cool! I need to get another Sand Scorcher and add lights to it!
  11. I would leave it the way it is. It looks too cool to rebuild. I worked in a hobby shop in So. Cal. around 1980, and built around 25 to 30 Sand Scorchers for customers, and I've always wondered whatever happened to them... Glad to see you still have your survivor.
  12. Even though I've already painted the body, I'll have to do the mods you've done! That looks awesome!!!
  13. Thanks! I have no idea if or when I'll be finished with it... LOL!
  14. You're probably right... I thought "PIS" was a brand. Oh well... learn something new every day!
  15. Yes they are Pargu2000's wheels... I bought them on his auction. I'm starting to gather parts to build a Sand Scorcher (I'll be ordering one next payday, this coming Friday), and I'm looking to add a few custom parts. Thanks for the info! I will probably run it with them on it (I don't mind cleaning ), and I plan to get a few other aluminum parts as well. Thanks again!
