Dear Tamiya Nuts!
Anyone have a shell from any model (Madbull, Mad fighter or Fighter RX)?
It's ok if it needs a repaint.
Thanks

I found 2 x 3mm rods threaded at both ends - 50mm & 70mm long which should be correct for the MB.
I have a spare servo saver from a Bush Devil which is slightly different to the MB part but may do the job.
Do you also need the plastic rod ends ?
Hello!
That would technically make you super brilliant!!
Thank you very much.
Let me know how much and how I can pay you?
Thanks again
Sorry, in answering your question, the plastic rod ends would be helpful if you have them

Dear All,
I hope that the community is keeping well. I have been off RC for a short while, and my first project is repairing my nephew's original Monster Beetle.
It requires both the steering rods and the part ('servo saver') that the rods attach to. If someone has the parts, excellent or perhaps a car in bits.
Any help really appreciated.

I am about to take apart and reassemble the rear diff of a DF03 clone car. The manuals say that I should be using a 'cement' or glue to lock the cup joint into place. Anyone done this before? Any pointers?
Thanks

Hello. I am looking for a chunky set of wheels to go on a Hornet e.g. Subaru Brat??
-
PM Sent - I will take it

Hello!
I was wondering if anyone had some chunkier front wheels for the Hornet to improve handling? Something like the Brat ones would be great...don't have to be mint.
Thanks.

Dear All,
I decided to have a kiddy half term RC Race. They had a great day but there were some casualties! I would appreciate the following if someone has these (happy to PayPal or bank transfer):
HORNET:
1. 2 Rear wheels - currently running BOOMERANG wheels which work great. So either of these would be fine.
2. Need the rear shock bottom mounts ie where the shocks screw in at the top
LUNCHBOX
1. A front wheel in yellow
2. The the bit that the bottom of the rear shock attached to
DT02
Front shock mounts
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hi there.
Looking for a TL01 chassis - can be used. If you have one knocking about, let me know how much please. -

I recommend that brand as well; nothing is ever quite like the original, but you can get 4 - 6 sets for the price of one original, and they stick and look good at speed anyway. Incidentally, I have yet to experience any peeling from the ones I ordered, although my own Striker is not in need of fresh decals yet...
And, as you can see from Jason1145's brilliant Striker, you can customize the colour scheme, too

Yes, this Striker project is enough to get me crawling out of whatever woodwork is on TamiyaClub to say that you did nice work on this one, and that it is always great to see another Striker alive again

Thanks for the feedback on the decals and the car, much appreciated.
I never thought I'd want to work on a striker!
I am now planning on putting all the remaining bits together to make a scrappy striker!

Hello Again.
I'm parking this for now. The body and electrics are where I am pleased with them, they are all functional and look OK. The wheels will have to stay just to keep the budget in place. I know it's missing decals, but again, I think it looks OK for the time being. I may actually make it look like an F1 car at some point.
I thought I'd mention that the electrics are original and completely functional.
Here are my costings:
1. Spare bits circa £18
2. Paints - £8
3. Rear tyres - had lying around
Thank you all for the support and very kind advice.
Take Care and keep well.

Dear All,
This is it. A thoroughly rewarding experience.
I'm going to park it for a while. The only things left to do would be to paint the driver and get some decals - they cost too much!
I tested the 30 year old electrics, and all seemed well. After a little initial smoke from the electronics, all seemed to work really well.
Any questions, let me know

Here are some update photos:
1. Electrics in progress - trying to with originals seeing that so much of the rest of it isn't
2/3. The really wheels before being sanded, primed and painted the same colour as the body
4. The electrics are in!
5. I had some Schumacher tyres kicking about so opted for these
6. Just the driver body and head need painting now

Taffer, what a beautiful example. This is where I wanted to be with mine, but I can't the paint as 'flat' and smooth as yours....plus I don't have any decals! What do you have under the bonnet??

Wow.
They are gorgeous. Thank you so much for sharing.
I never would have expected the colours to look so well on them. The gold Striker decals make so much more sense having seen these pics.
The Sonic Fighter, again incredible, is barely recognisable. It looks like a combination between an Academy Road Runner and a Falcon.
What a fantastic job.
Are they complete with all electrics?

It's be irresponsible and morally wrong to bring brushless up
the chassis is so Cool, but so very poor! It wouldn't last.
I'm nearing the end and will send some updates tonight..

Hello All,
Sorry to disturb. I am repairing my nephew's 'Super Blackfoot' which is like a 'Monster Beetles.' I have read that the servo works best in the centre, hence need another rod please.
Any help would be really appreciated.
Thanks!
