  1. Hello Sirs.

    My clear out continues.

I would like to preferably sell or possibly trade my Dirt Thrasher. The car runs incredibly smoothly and is a very nice example. The Body is in excellent condition with no cracks. The car has new unused tyres all around. It would make a very tidy runner or with a more thorough clean and decals, it could be a shelf queen. Save for some very minor scuffs, the wheels are almost perfect. Included is a clean silver can and the mechanical speed controller.

I am looking for £65 incl. delivery

Paypal (gift) or cash on collection.

  2. Hi Friends,

    Happy New Year!

I am looking to preferably sell this truck. I purchased this with the intention to make it perfect, however ended up picking up some other cars. I am generally more interested in buggies and have gotten distracted with a Grasshopper I bought. The car seems to be mechanically fine however the body has had a repair between the rear flat section and the main cabin.

I would like £90 ono incl postage to UK. Payment as a gift or cash. If needed, I can pop in a battery and charger (will try and make it ones that reflect the age of the car).

I prefer a sale but would consider a swap.

    Thanks!

  3. Dear All,

I am looking to sell or swap for the following two cars:

    1. Dirt Thrasher. This is a runner. I can put a stock 540 motor in it, however doesn't have much else. It's mechanically perfect apart from the usual wear and tear. I have two body shells, both in less than average condition. £45

    2. Ansmann Hot Rod - This is brand new, never been run and comes boxed with manuals etc. £50

(I wasn't sure - if it's not permitted to sell non Tamiya items, I will remove this)

I'm afraid that I'm unable to attach photos for some reason. If interested, PM me and I can arrange to send you the photos via another means.

    Thanks for looking!

  4. Hi Chris,

Thanks for sharing your experiences with me.....It really does seem that way. It's a shame as it's a really clean car and could look really good in a collection. I'll give it until the weekend then Ebay!!

    Thanks again!

  5. Thanks 94eg!,

Much appreciated. I have been told that it is the P100F variant and I have attached a photo above. I spent £280 including postage, although seemingly a fair price, I immediately felt terrible for spending so much money!

I'll post it for sale on this forum before ebay, but really appreciate the advice about "Buy It Now" and the worldwide option.

    Take Care

  6. Dear Friends,

I have been desperate after an Avante since owning one from 1989 to 1991. The major problem I have faced is £££!

I have now ordered an 88 model from Japan which comes with a CPR unit and a Dynatech motor. The logic used was that I'd sell the electrics to help pay for the car...ugh..being poor with expensive tastes!

I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas how much they are worth working..and I guess more importantly, if people are actually interested in these?

I thought I'd mention that the car will be a non runner...sit and look pretty model.

    Any thoughts much appreciated.

    Regards

  7. Dear Friends,

    Firstly, Happy New Year!

I purchased this a short while back to restore. Now, going by some of the cars on the forum, it's probably not as perfect. However, having given it a clean, put the original electrics in, I think that it's a nice little runner. I wasn't sure how to set the speed controller up properly, as am used to the electric variant. I was going to repaint the shell etc. but have purchased a Grasshopper and Hornet I'm going to help my nephew with.

The car has new tyres, and I have greased most of the joints and comes with a 40mhz controller.

I hope someone can find some joy in playing with this.

I was hoping to achieve £70 plus postage.

    Thank you for looking.
