  1. hey all Just if your wondering i didnt get the sand viper, i got a 1/8 attacker. Anyway, i have a 3s lipo now, waithing for charger now. Would i get wheelies from my fighter buggy with the buggy size wheels and street tyres or will i need to get some truck wheels for the back? I can get some cheap ones for £10 so no prob. What sorta speed aswell will i get from 3980kv and 3s lipo? Also where can i get a wheelie bar from? thanks
  2. I have a suxfly 3980kv motor with a HK45A esc on 7 cell(not as good as 2s) and its soo fast! Wheelies my fighter buggy and when i go full throttle it just baloons the tyres up! Fun, but not good for it!lol I would say a 21.5t BL is like a silvercan motor. 17.5t like a good 19t and 10.5t like a good 15t. 9t is mental and 5t is more crazy. If i wanted a match for a BZ i would go for the ezrun 3000kv, more punch, but same top end. Anyone agree?
  3. I cant believe such a great buggy is so cheap! Ya, sand viper for me, just a matter of weeks untill i buy it. So for the shell then. Maby pearlecant or floresant, not sure. My Stech nitro buggy is purple, it looks real good when the sun hits is. I def wont use stickers, theyll come off after a few runs i think. Not sure what to do with the motor/esc setup. I like the idea of just having it simple, ie Teu101bk and a cheap hpi15t or losi 32k motor as i know that will be relaible and not wear things out. Do they underteer? I like a tad of oversteer, and being able to do some crazy dough nuts with balooning rears!
  4. I agree with you all now. Its the sand viper for me. Ill do a custom paint job (any suggestions), solder on some deans and a losi 32K from MSUK with a TRX pinion. SORTED! Are the CVA shocks any good? Does it jump well and go on grass without an issue? Thank you.
  5. Ive got to decide whether to put crazy BL systems in or just a ansmann clash. Also depends on price really. I can get a FS Bolt 2wd for £84 for everything and its a nice buggy. Every thing is adjustable and a few alloy parts aswell. Check it out on nitrotek.co.uk and tell me what you think of it, please. I only want it to use on grass and gravel really. A few speed bumps aswell. Although i might change my mind a want hard core jumping in a few mins once i look at youtube!lol
  6. Hi Should i get a sand viper then? Could i put 3980kv through it? Also is it worth £120 as i have a fighter buggy rx? Or should i get another nitro that could be more fun? Thanks
  7. Yer, it was great fun! fast on 3s! However i can now efford brushless as i done a few rc's up and sold them. I have had lots of insolts and digs over shairing my opinions, so thank you for not insolting me.
  8. I dont make up stories, i just tell all you kind members my personal experience and opinion of RC. I try to help by saying what i think and i tried to tell people who helped me what i was and sorta am going through at home, ie my dad wouldnt let me buy another car. However, now i have bought a few crappers off ebay and then got them running and sold them on and made a proffit. That is why i am allowd to get another rc car. I just dont unerstand why you say im i lier because i just say the truth and yes, things change as now i can get another rc car!! The thing about the teu101bk was that it was rated 25t and i was running 18t and 7 cell so i was saying it is too expensive really, but its a quality piece of equipment. Maby if you could give more examples of me being childish, then i could explain and maby sort out this problem, because all i want from this forum is to get some help and advise from the experts (you) and shair my experiences. Sorry if you fell im a childish brat, but i dont mean to be. I was always told how grown up i was.
  9. Dont worry mate, i have had 1/8 and 1/10 nitro trucks since i was 7yrs and am starting to race them. I called the teu101bk expensive because it is an out of date piece of junk, whereas a mtronics 12t esc was less! I have my own bussiness thing where i buy non runner nitro cars off ebay and get em running and then sell them for more, fun and i get payed! Thats why i havent baught new tamiya's as it dont make me any money.
  10. Thanks for the suggestions, but i have gone for a 1/8 nitro buggy off one of my dads friends . It has a 28 engine and only used 5 times as he has 1/5 scales now, so all tha for..........£140! This also includes starter box and glow charger and a few spares. I cant get away from nitro....i love it! Anyway, the fighter buggy is great fun and handles fine now! It was the solid rear axle bouncing around as now i have weighted it down. cheers
  11. Hi guys Just sold 2 of my nitro cars, so i now have £150 to spend on a car. However, im not sure wether to buy a electric tamiya or a xtm 1/8 nitro buggy off ebay for £110. What nitro tamiyas are there that are any good? What are some of the best tamiyas to drive for £150? Thanks
  12. That did look great! Stealthy too. Amagine that with 2 BL motors 5700kv.............
  13. Well you can solder on some Traxxas plugs or deans.
  14. Was that 4 cell NIMH or LiPo?
  15. I would get a ezrun, either 9t or 13t 380 size. A dcent battery makes a world of difference, as backslash reminded me that my 7 cell makes my 6 cell seem so boring and my 6 cell is 4500mah. A 13t with either 2s lipo or 7 cell (is fits) will be very fast, that would be best for a beginner, if you are one. My dt01 chassis is undriveble with 3980kv and im used to nitro (not braggin, just saying), so around 3000kv or 3300kv would be plenty with 2s lipo. 4600kv with 6 cell would be good aswell. Volts really help, but you have got to modify your chassis to get the extra cells in.
  16. Too right! About time the teu101bk got some credit!lol I ran a hpi15t on 7cell and once used my mates 3s lipo for a full pack! They are great, but very expensive though. I have no use for it now, so if you want to buy it........lol
  17. Took out today, with a weighted backend, and it was great! The back used to bounce, but now its planted! Yes, i know steelRat that its just a modern GH chassis, but thats half the fun! Its a sorta project. I have many caperble cars/buggies and trucks, but i love these solid rear axle buggies. I have designed a strut for the centre of the chassis, its basicaly a bolt going through the chassis with a nut on either side. Just got to weight the front with some heavy nuts! Steelrat-what KV was your 8.5t as i would amagine its way more powerful then my 3980kv. I love this chassis and goin to buy another DT01 chassis as my mate is selling his for a nitro. The first buggy i can power wheelie down tthe whole straight of the industrial unites. Getting some jato rears next week along with a new 3s lipo. Thanks for your help Dan
  18. Just took my 3980kv'd fighter buggy rx out and wow...wheelies and very impressive speed. Not sure what turn it is.....Percymon, do you know? 10.5 or 13t ezrun is your best bet, gearing and chassis design makes it hard to go much lower. What battery, 2s lipo or 3s lipo?
  19. No, go brushless, way way much more speed, a good 35mph with a ezrun 9t or 30mph with a 13 ezrun off ebay they are only about £40.
  20. Well, it will flex in my hands, when i hold either end of the tub chassis. So for that reason i cant amagine the twisting going on under full throttle!! I havent set the esc yet, it wont hold any throttle untill the battery is low, maby its set to 2s lipo or 6 cell. It can go 3s lipo. So i programmed the throttle rand and i hope that does it, when thats sorted ill adjust the puch and tame it down. Maby a strut going along the chassis? I also have a problem as the back axle is going side to side all the time, how cani make that stiffer as its just balooning the inside tyres. Stiffer diff grease? Is it way waaay to much for the buggy? I have modified the steering, tyres, bearings and shocks on the back. Cheers
  21. Well me and my mate plugged a hpi15t in his MSC on his FB Rx. The thing behind it with warning very hot was too hot to touch. It was very fast though and with a MSC...........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. Hi guys My mate says he can see my DT01 chassis flexing and twisting under full throttle, is this true? How can i stop this? I can twist it by hand. Im running 3980kv on 7 cell and 3s lipo!!! Does anyone else have this issue? Thanks
  23. Good, a clash owner! not many around anymore!lol Ive gone brushless now, so have sold all my brushed motors off to friends.
  24. Get a ansmann clash 15 or 18t, they are great! Had 5 of them and ran them on 7 cell and once with 3s lipo! They have little torque, but lots of rpm. Isnt the FF01 front wheel drive, so you dont want torque.
  25. Raining all day today, so went wild with the polish! I had all day to work on RC cars....yippy yippy ACME cyclone pro=polished manifold (mirror finish) and now doing the same to the chassis. Pointless as ill be racing it next week and it'll get all oily again ACME Condor=mounted battery holder at the back and re-cut shell to new engine size. S/Tech tiger=kicked its *** around the park in the wet! Tamiya=setup ESC...ready to bash! 3980kv.............
