  1. Hey nice idea with the gold shocks there Wonder if you gan get some gold wheels too...
  2. A few bits 'n' bobs from yesterday and today First off A DF-02 gear bag as prescribed by XV Pilot as I am waiting for the arrival of a Neo Scorcher from Fusion To help detail those drivers Decided to give one of these a go An 80T motor for a little project in the future to plant the Tamiya seed into to small people I know would love it Stocked up on some 3100 RXs as I noticed HK had them in stock again in the UK warehouse Been wanting to give Silver Hook ceramic grease for a while as I see it on eBay be was reluctant to buy a whole tube if it was no good. Found someone was selling these sachets of it for 99p The SH grease is on the right, with my present Finishline grease on the left. I have to say on initial impressions I could be rather good as it has quite a stiff feel but coats well. Don't think it will fling as much as the FL does and will stay on the gears a lot longer when used even more sparingly. If it does prove successful it could be a case of buying one tub and that would be it. Has a nice smell of 'plastic mack' too I will do some tests and let you all know how I get one.
  3. Oh yes I may, no, will have to get one of these
  4. Thanks for the comment mate much appreciated Yep that's the way I put em on too, it was getting the old ones off that hurt a bit
  5. No probs mate, if you want the icon images i made up for all the screw heads and Tamiya stickers etc let me know
  6. Mmm... Sun, warmth, beech, Tamiya session...
  7. Excellet 'Man Cave' sir, Those Draper parts drawers are great I have found and I second the consideration of a well padded office chair as Tamiya 1/10 suggests, prevents 'numb bum' whilst spending hours slaving away over a hot Tamiya
  8. TRF logo, or do you want something more classic Tamiya?
  9. Oh and if they do the whole 50 series again if they would price them at the original RRP that would be much appreciated...
  10. For me, oh just the whole 50 series...
  11. That's why I jumped on Quandry for the info, still with the 'blister like' imprints on my finger tips when I did the steering linkages on my Novafox
  12. Oh now the Dual Ridge's rather comic shell and wing design would be perfect for a 'Bat Scorcher'
  13. Another great build right there Don't ask me why, but this reminds me of a stumpy version of 'Dead Reckoning' from 'Land Of The Dead'... ...Or would that be 'Stump Reckoning'
  14. Now your asking I haven't been near a Clod in ten years or so and all the info I used to know off by heart has gradually leaked out of my ear. Not to mention the fact that the stuff I had for my Clods is probably way out of date. For example I still have a Novak Super Rooster NIB waiting along with two Trinity Magnetic Mahems along with the necessary diodes. I guess it depends on what you want to do with your Clod, general bashing, mild crawling or something a bit quicker. If it's some general harmless bashing something quite torquey fairly high turn.
  15. I think someone needs to get himself a "Bat Scorcher" to go with his "Pinky Special"...
  16. If memory serves (as I was well into Clods about 10 years ago and I still have mine stripped in a box) it's the dual motor ESC that does the job and the way it's hooked up
  17. Cheers buddy, yes those ball joint pliers are a great tool to have in you arsenal. Quandry got me on to them after I spotted his pair in one of his builds

Ain't that the truth Great to see you are bock on track Z, cracking build mate
  19. Top tip regarding the rice, must remember that if I need it, cheers =W=
  20. Attaching tyres I had already decided I would use the best set of wheels from the two Boomers on this and save the new ones for my shelfer. I have also got hold of a set of original front tyres along with re-re rears so here we go I then realised something I hadn't noticed before, whilst the tyres already on the wheels were a complete set, the wheels were definitely not. I had in fact 4 fronts! So after all that I decided to go with my new set anyway I also found the NOS front tyres way too hard for me after pulling off all the tyres so i gave it best and stole the fronts from my re-re hotshot, I will replace these later. So there we go a full set of re-re wheels and tyres after all WARNING doing too many old Tamiya tyre changes in one go give you "Old Man Hands"
