  1. A mad Lunchie always gives you little jobs to do...
  2. OK I had to stop watching that because each time the camera switched to the car whizzing up to the gate it made me jump! Flipping eck that's quick
  3. Cracking job there mate. I can remember doing a custom job on my ex wife's Clod, it does take a bit of paint right enough and my job was rather choice as I made up all the masks myself using friskette. That was apart from the lettering which I had a mate vinyl cut The masks for, but great when it's all done though
  4. Generally it's what floats my boat at that time but they do fit into buying categories. 1. Models I saw/wanted as a kid 2. Custom projects, an idea that I then see if a Tamiya product would fit the bill 3. You see patterns in others build threads which either give you ideas or more over "I want one!" feelings 4. New Re-res which spark off a "it would be rude not to" idea
  5. The Code is a very nice bit of kit I love mine especially the 15 mod memory I agree with you ref Modelsport service, there was a mix up on one of my orders a while back and they were great even whacked the right item out in the post without waiting for the return of the first one, and a Sat delivery to get it to me quicker at no extra charge They were also really helpful when I bought my new all singing all dancing charger when I found the instructions where written by a one eyed penguin. Had me charging stuff in no time As Sandster says though stuff from HK can take up to a month. It's just gutting when the UK WH got them back in stock more or less the day after you ordered them I feel your pain mate, we all suffer from S*** Law... But don't worry, soon your babies will be 2.4GHzed up
  6. Nice paintwork any more detailed shots? Love the stripe combo.
  7. Yeah that's what I saw too, and is why I am tempted thanks for the heads-up on the conversion items, you read my mind. I realised that the DT01 platform was the common element just wondered what else was different. Cheers buddy
  8. That sucks, have you tried live chat with the UK warehouse rather than the global one. The chap I spoke to regarding some questions I had was a little pre rehearsed if you know what I mean but still helpful. Sorry for the delay mate, it's rubbish waiting on stuff and then not being able to at least talk to someone properly about it...
  9. One of the main reasons I was considering it for kiddy winks is it's easy to fix and will take the rough 'n' tumble too. I already have an 80 turn so it will be slow enough not to get into much trouble Having said this I also have my eye on a Mad Fighter going super cheap
  10. The 3100s? did you order them through the UK warehouse? Ordered mine from the UK on the 25th and they arrived on the 30th.
  11. Loving the Terminator kit, very trick! By the way did you make your ramp from the mole hills?
  12. How did I miss this MB build! I am thinking of getting one for when my dad's, partner's grandsons are visiting. I'm sure they would love to have whizz around with one of these! I like the little touches with the extras such as the use of O-Rings etc. Nice work mate
  13. Cleared out and cleared up my spares drawers, and also planning a nice addition to the work bench too
  14. What a great result mate, looks amazing I bet you pleased with this one
  15. I must admit when I got back into Tamiya again and played with my first Tamiya ESC I thought it was odd and annoying but when I realised why and got used to it it made sense. As Crispy says I now find the DT nicer and you can use the ESC brake as a proper brake which I find makes driving a little smoother, but then you have the next podge backwards on the control for that old school MSC handbrake turn
  16. Just a couple of cheeky TBLE-02s from Time Tunnel Also got an email today from Joanne at Fusion saying my filth should be dispatched on Monday...
  17. Nice rescue you have there, looking forward to the restoration thread
  18. Sweet, this project just gets better and better! I may well have to do something similar myself I like it that much!
  19. Just out of interest where did you get theses stands again. I seem to remember them on the "Postman" thread but can't find them
  20. It came with the black diff cases in the back see below, are these OK. You will be technical advisor on this project you understand
  21. You could always go bonkers and get some alloy ones and get them anodised... Oh the things we dream up to get that detail just right
  22. Just looking at the manufacturers website I am guessing the matt gold ones are these possibly
  23. Oh now this is absolutely mouth watering, love your collection, love your displays, love it all
