Motor - silver can Tamiya 540J standard motor Pinion - brass pinions (and spur gears and brass transmission gears are available via ebay, Chinese seller kurbdan - you won't find him on www.ebay.co.uk, you have to use ebay.com http://www.ebay.com/sch/kurbdan/m.html?item=162034942282&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&rt=nc&LH_PrefLoc=2&_trksid=p2046732.m1684 Front bumper - depends how much you have of the original, alloy side plates are available from pargu store on ebay, as are rear bumpers. Original bumper ebay, or Tamiyaclub wanted, used only option - your link to radshape isn't working currently, but be aware there is the original hilux and the high lift modern hilux which use different bars and mount points. http://stores.ebay.co.uk/pmg828/ gearbox mount grommets are available in the rubber parts bags for the re-released Bruiser, parts 51498. The plugs for the transmission case (and mechanism box/servo savers) are in the other rubber parts bag 51499, but Far East ebay sellers have both of them cheap. If you want to go with ball races then www.rcbearings.co.uk universal joints you may be able to get new old stock, victor101, Tonys Tamiya parts, goldstarstockists etc otherwise ebay used items Free wheeling hubs are ebay used only, so be prepared for high prices, shipping from the USA or both ! victor101car has a few new smaller parts available, great service and prices stainless hardware - westfield fasteners (quite high unit price) or https://www.orbitalfasteners.co.uk/ (can be high shipping but if the package is small enough they will send out in normal mail system if you call them)

Now sold wheels will be removed for transit -
If you spray clear matt ps spray first you can then use the Tamiya AS range which are more subdued colours (being military themed). both my CR-01s are painted with AS shades (painted on the outside of the shell for a more matt finish) whatever colour you choose make sure it's for polycarbonate shells, tamiya TS and enamel paints are only for hard abs/styrene bodies

Tamiya PS-22 Racing Green is a nice solid green (non metallic) - sort of British Racing Green.

Brake light led is a great idea ; my only concern would be the proximity of the led hole to the securing screw for the lights that runs through the cockpit moulding

I have that same cleaner, had it for 3-4 years but in all honesty it didn't get used much at all after the initial excitement. Its first outings were on metal biased restorations like the SRB chassis and a few Kyoshos - at first I was quite impressed, but i think the result had more to do with the quality of the parts under the film of dirt than the cleaner itself. I was impressed when i rebuilt an original Egress, these were the parts after a couple of 2 minute cleans in fairy liquid solutions. The first run the solution got quite mucky, hence the second run.. Impressive yes, but those parts had barely seen any use bare a couple of runs and some dust from storage in the attic. Cleaning plastic parts ? - never thought it did a lot, tried dirty wishbones and knuckles with very little effect, probably little more than just soaking. Metal parts should be batched into similar metals for each cleaning - mixing brass, bronze, alloy and steel parts will lead to strange tarnishings. So, whilst my words sound negative I think it really boils down to your expectations - if you have to scrub parts with an old toothbrush at the kitchen sink they are not miraculously going to come clean with a few minutes of non contact ultrasonic cleaning. See it as a cleaner with some additional cleaning power beyond just soaking parts, useful for hard to reach areas. Of course the overall effectiveness is dependent upon the solutions used - its pretty good with engine degreaser on old gearbox parts and axles for instance.

Does this order for a Neo Scorcher work?

Sport tuned motor is £9 delivered using the SAL shipping option from BanzaiHobby - OK it'll take 3-4weeks but that's half the price in your basket. goldstarstockits do bundle deals (TimeTunnel) try FusionHobbies also look at Wonderlandmodels - often overlooked but what i did buy from there a few years ago was well priced, fast delivery and nice people to talk to over the phone. -
I used some spare Axial lights on my Unimog shell - very discrete.. not really visible when sat on the CR-01 chassis..

Asiatees had some good deals on the painted/printed killerbody shells last week - not £15 cheap, but nice sheels for the money.. http://www.asiatees.com/blowOutSale you'll need to select killerbody in the 'company' filter I'm afarid

It will but also consider that the ESC is not a dedicated rock crawling ESC - it may not hold the truck still on a downslope for instance, and the BEC current won't be enough for powering a high torque servo with the wheels stuck in rocks. But for a woodland walk trial with small tree roots / twigs and leaves it will work fine.

Well it is compared to when they were released for sale and typically you could buy one from the Far East for under £30 delivered. in contrast there are non tamiya replacement body parts available (but not for discussion on this forum) ; by the time you buy all three lexan parts you are probably looking at £35 shipped and you still don't have a decal sheet or driver figure so whilst £60 isn't cheap it's the number you'd arrive at whether tamiya parts or otherwise from my brief research

Now painted and decalled; just the rear spoiler to attach and get some photos up

You could also reduce the EPA set points on the transmitter to limit motor speed

Allturn waterproof item from modelsport - about £7 before postage - reliable and most importantly for a little 'un, puddle proof !! Your cheap 3Kg items will do the job for now, unless you want to steer in thick / 3-4" high grass BanzaiHobby have Yokomo SS48/SS58 motors on clearance - they work out about £12 after SAL shipping to UK from recollection. 48Turn version would slow you down plenty with the 19T pinion. Tamiya's CR Tuned (35T) motor isn;t hugely expensive from Banzai either; you can re-use it in something else once your little un wants the silver can back in for more speed !

Cut, masked ( ) and started painting the WRC Skoda Fabia shell. The masks themselves are tidy quality but absolutely zero instructions, and whilst the masks are pre cut there are no markings on the sheet as to where they are or where to place them on the body. To add further confusion the masks are actually for one of the darker colours so I'll be spraying black, then white, then dark green as the final colour once the masks are removed - hardly ideal ! I'll back the white with silver before spraying the green, hopefully that will help block the dark green behind the white. Its a runner body, so not too precious about it, but Colt could have made life easier for the sake of a few instructions/diagrams/labels; even if that added a few dollars to the RRP. <rant over>

I'll not see them discarded, so I'll take 'em if no one else wants them pm sent

Percymon replied to Percymon's topic in Trade Archive
Tyres work well in reverse too I have now got it listed on eBay , but would rather it go to a TC'er . ill take £65 posted in uk, £60 posted uk without Kumamon figure. -
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201580803464 sadly , and only 3 years after they were made available , now more than twice their original selling price a lot no doubt reside in TC member hoards, maybe 6 or so were painted and shown on this forum. Rest I dare say remain new in packet waiting for their moment of glory

The ABS version of the shell is pretty thick in some areas, so it takes a bit of cutting - its a nice shell , and has loads of scope for mods (I used sections of a disposable cigarette lighter casing for the rear light clusters ) ..
