  1. I have rebuilt and lightly run two Boomerangs and one BigWig - whilst there is some theoretical benefit from the twin front shocks of the BigWig  I can't say i ever found the Boomer lacking or the 'Wig superior.

    I never weighed either model, people say the 'Wig is heavy (and i wouldn't disagree) but from recollection I don;t think there's an awful lot between the two models.

    DF-03 parts as shown in photos, various used parts such as wheel axles, front and rear diff cups (one quite badly chipped), front and rear shock towers, gears, dogbones etc etc etc.

  3. I'll throw a wild card in, in the form of the Levant.

    Never a great seller due to the Traxxas Slash /EMaxx presence and silly initial Tamiya pricing, but they are 100 euros at Tamico currently which for a reasonable tough  (lexan body) big tyred stadium truck that will shrug off a few knocks and work weel in the garden thats a good deal..

    XB prebuilt and painted, just add eletrics..

  4. For Sale - Vintage Traxxas 2401 Bandit 2WD Buggy

     

    Chassis in great condition

    Was stripped and cleaned several months ago and just been on the bookshelf since

    New wing wire and wing holders

    New Tamiya rear wing

    Oil shocks all round

    Reliable Traxxas drivetrain

    'Silver can' Traxxas motor

    No ESC  (old MSC and servo included, but resistor missing)

    Steering Servo fitted (Traxxas)

    Radio Receiver fitted  ( Traxxas 27mHz with crystal)

    Front tyres like new, Rear tyres plenty of life

    Shell in good condition

    Vintage original decal sheet included - not sure how sticky these are, i found them eventually in a French model shop but they'd been stored folded

    Downloaded printed copy of build manual

     

    Would make a great, tough runner

    OK guys, this one started life as a F103 Ferrari that I bought with broken front wing and a shell fit only or the bin.

    It received a full strip down and clean, and was rebuilt with all the following ..

    New diff rings
    New Tamiya long carbon fibre top deck
    New D parts for the battery holders
    New hop-up alloy body posts

    New RD Kingpin set
    New reinforced front axles

    New 0.4Mod RM spur gear

    New shell painted metallic white with Tamiya 'flag' draped over the top

    New front and rear wings

    Also has a new Hobbyking servo that is good enough for fun running.
