Looks awesome! Can't wait to finish it so I can run it. I will def not be using that big bumper on mine.

Happy New Year!

Bearings if you haven't got those already. Otherwise, build it and have fun. You can always add things later like universal joints, metal steering upgrade, etc.

The new "old" hotness.

If that's a vintage Hornet , my guess is that's what's left of the black Tamiya balloon lol. Unless that's still in the box.

I have a few RCs.

I will say one last thing about painting hard bodies. It's very easy to go down the slippery slope of trying to get the "perfect" paint job. That's all well and good for a shelf queen or for photography, but as a runner, don't kill yourself painting it lol. You can't see imperfections in a paint job from more than 2 feet away and if it's going to be run, it'll get scratched up it's first time out. Just aim to make it look how you want it to look and don't worry about 4 coats, wet sanding, 4 coats clear, more wet sanding and so on lol. Just get her painted up and go have fun with it!

You should have just built yours instead of psyching yourself out of it. It's not like it's that hard to take a TT01 apart to add bearings and a shaft later (shaft is totally not needed, just looks better, I said it lol).

The springs look great painted Snappy. How's the paint holding up to running? I'd be worried it flake off after a pack or two. The instructions are like general guidelines. Do what feels right and if the bones come flying out, well, go back to two lol.

Being old school, I love the shift on the fly gears and diff selectors. That's the main appeal to this truck for me. I never got the guys that did that. It's like getting a Bruiser and putting a single speed transmission into it lol. That what's great about this hobby though. We can all customize our toys to how we want them and no one's preference is better than anyone else's.

I got a cold.

Look, I'm just trying to help. I have a lot of experience when it comes to this ESC. I don't know how you have tested it. I don't know how you have connected it to the TBLE-02S. Good luck, I hope you figure it out.

I love my TRX4. I have the Bronco. Enjoy it! PS, I run mine with a small 3s pack mounted up front. Also, from my experience, those under guard pieces may look nice but they will just get you hung up on the rocks. All these axles can take a huge amount of scrubbing without being damaged.

If you are putting paint on the body, always prime. Otherwise you'll slowly watch your paint come off in little patches from running lol.

I'm going to ask once again, how did you test the Rx to make sure it's working?

I think it's PS-23 Gun Metal. I painted this years ago. -

I think you should paint as well. Without paint, it looks very cheap and toyish if that makes sense (it IS a toy lol). I painted mine in a different color. -

As long as your paint is dry, do what Nobbi said. -
Awesome build thread. I keep looking at these. I might get one or a Cross truck, haven't decided yet lol. I'm glad I'm not the only one who knows the joys of Nolene grease. Talked about it in my Comical Grasshopper build. Great job bud.

Blinking green light means no signal from Rx. How did you test your Rx? Is it bound to your radio?

Santa delivered Willy's new ride and he's a happy man!
