how would be able to tell if my front uprights are the later stronger ones? also i have been looking at the egress front suspension, if the avante and egress share a simlar chassis could i use the egress front suspension set up on my avante? or are they completely different front ends? im only asking because the front avante shocks are rubbish at their job, and the egress ones look like it will be able to cope a bit better with the bumps. i dont want to break it at clumber this sunday! [:I] hey if any of you are going i'll see ya there[]
-
just had a go round the house, its super quick and left black tire marks on my laminate floor! i am going to run it at clumber park next weekend, hope i dont break it on its first run.[] then its shelf time! (maybe[}])
-
so what your saying is the front uprights are very fragile, would it be able to cope with flat areas covered in fine gravel? no jumps either.

Porsche 959 - Can it use a different motor?
tylerdurden replied to Chili959's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
hi, you can use the technigold which is 21 turns, technipower which has 23 turns or the technituned which has 27 turns. these are all the same shape on the endbell, for a runner though i recomend the technigold, have fun [] -
cool, i have a couple of sets of those!! ill maybe try and fix it soon. thanks for your help[]

i can recall reading somewhere that the bevel gears in the blackfoot gearbox are the same as the hotshot bevel gears, is that true? they look the same??[8)]
-
until my blackfoot went through a deep puddle in a sand bunker at my local golf course, i had no problems with it. but now, when it sets off it gives out a loud grinding noise!! i have had it to bits today and cant see anything that shouldnt be there, are the gears prone to eat themselves?? i was using a technigold motor and a 15 tooth pinion gear, but now i have changed it to a standard can and now its worse!! it goes forwards very slowly making the sound of a nitro engine!! please help me[8)]!!
-
i need to sell this becuase my girlfriend thinks its unsafe to have nitro fuel around when we have a baby[] in the house, its ready to run all you need is fuel and a fuel filler bottle. serious offers please, any offers below £90 will be ignored!!. if ya live local ya can have what fuel i have left too[][]. or i would swap it for a nice but used hotshot???[]
-
oh no!! i cant make it monday ive too much on, off to my mums and im off to get a new television as my old one went pop[xx(] today!! i can maybe go next sunday with a clean supershot although a bit squeaky, some of the bearings have ceased. i think ill be taking my blackfoot when i go, i love that truck!![]
-
well, she went mental[!] good news on the technigold, it still works!![8D] the endbell was packed with grass and muck, after i cleaned that up i put it back together, tested it by connecting a batt and hey presto!! when are you planning on going to the track again?[]
-
belive it or not, but my supershot has been stripped and cleaned but its bad news for the technigold, its a gonner[xx(]

i have the next 4 days off work so im gonna go up today, see if i can find it again[] going by train to dewsbury and then by bus to cleckheaton.....[] ill be there hopefully about 2:30ish[:I]
-
DOH!!!![:I] i think that must have been the only road i went down!! it was my brothers car, i had borrowed it, ill take a look at going by train next time!![]
-
well i must have drove about 100 miles today, i havent been to the track before and i couldnt find it!! the map on batley buggy club website must be incorrect, it was nowhere to be seen. i started off in dewsbury made my way to huddersfield and then back again. i didnt see any sign post pointing to its location or maybee i just cant read maps!! what is it near? is it near the sewage works that i drove past 6 times? what pub is it near? i'll try to find it again next weekend when im day off.
-
i have just printed a map of where the cleckheaton track is, im day off 2mora so im going to have a butchers at what its like, ill be taking my trusty supershot to see what it goes like!
