Good to hear man. I'm not sure which way to go just yet as I finished building the car only a two weeks ago. I would like to see what I can do about getting me a LiPo and a charger for it. With the cold weather and me running it outside, I'm lucky to get 10 mins out of the tower hobbies batt.
-
Yep I got it, the pinion and motor turns I understand now. You answered my question for motor choices with the stock ESC. Tamiya Sport Tuned and the Dirt Tuned. Now I've gotta decide between the two.
-
Not to sound completely lazy, but in a nut shell, which motor can I run with the stock ESC that will provide me with some more speed and fun? Right now I'm running the 15T that came with the kit.

Plus the aluminum wheel hubs from tamiya based on the research i've been doing. **I'd also love to get some anodized red 12mm hex adaptors to go with my red/white theme -

Now that's one thing I'd like to upgrade on the hotshot. The steering. It's got a weak turning radius. -

Gotcha, so no need for a screw at all than if i'm following here. -
TTT- I didn't wanna start off a new thread relating to the same question so I'm brining this one up from the dead. Can I run the super stock motors on my hotshot and will I have to change the ESC?

Good luck on the projects, I think the LiPo would definitely be good to have as an upgrade. I know if I get the brushless setup I'd have to change the esc and do all of that again, therefore tear the car apart again. I'm starting to like the dirt tuned tamiya motor. Any opinions on it? -

That's pretty neat man. What is the TT01 upgrade? I don't know what else to do to this car besides give it a more powerfull motor. Would a Lipo do anything speed wise? -

Thanks a lot man, appreciate the efforts with the pic too. I was actually thinking of this last night.....why do I even need to take the battery out for? It doesn't make a lot of sense. The only thing I might do is upgrade to a LIPO unit. -

Correct me if I got this wrong- every time you change/take the batt out you will need to replace the screw that holds on of the doors that hold the battery in place? -

No quite. My account here got suspended for two weeks for a bizzare reason. As I mentioned in the PM, I'm in business and I love this car. A small amount of snow and some ice really make for a wicked time in an empty parking lot. Does anyone know what I need in order to run my DF03 wheels? -
Slightly off topic, does tamiya offer a finished hotshot body? Cut, painted, etc.

Than you'd never have to fiddle around with those little clips anymore too. -
Does anyone know where I could find a heatsink to fit my hotshot without altering/cutting the car? I'm also looking at making some sort of an undercarriage shield such as the supershot had. My only issue with that one is how do you get the battery out?
