  1. Ye that's very tough. Will probably do that when the M3 rod bends but at the minute I'm figuring out how to stop the front wheels dropping off. I can't seem to get cold weld to stand up to it. I'm thinking about drilling through the upright and tapping into the axle and screwing it on. Seen someone on here do it and it looks like a good way around it. The main thing though I want to find out how I can put a different set of wheels on the front. I think I would have to change a bit of stuff on the front to get it done. Will all be worth it in the end. Thanks -MickRosco
  2. Oh OK I'll have a look at some of them then. Ye I saw an old Kyosho can't remember which one running the other day and it looked a right good laugh. But I am a Tamiya fan and obviously would want a Tamiya buggy.
  3. Ye the DB's do look very tempting.
  4. 4WD preferably. Around £200 but that's not a budget as such just a forecast lol.
  5. Hello people, Just about finished my Brat build and need something to follow up on it at some point and I was thinking a buggy would be great. Anyone have any suggestions please let me know. Thanks -MickRosco
  6. Progress so far with my lexan body for the Brat. Looking OK I think.
  7. I have dug out the brackets for my Brat lexan body and mounts to fit it to the body. Going to finish the painting and get some pics up on here. So, what have you done today?
  8. Hello people. Don't know if I have posted this in the correct section but anyway I was wondering if anyone had any nerf bars I could stick on the Brat I have been up rating. Preferably black but any colour really should do the trick. Thanks -MickRosco
  9. My new steering rod. Made from 3mm threaded steel bar. No bending that stuff .
  10. Another thing does anyone know of a way I can put aftermarket wheels on the front? Cheers -MickRosco
  11. Yes mate I do need them how much would you want for them?
  12. Just started painting the lexan body in yellow and the bull bars in black. Started looking good!
  13. Nice. Can't find any of these upgrades myself though. Where did you get hold of these?
  14. Very nice. I will look into some of these upgrades. I have built the Brat a little while ago and done just a quick job on the poly shell and sprayed it pink . It looks good to be honest but when I get round to upgrading it and painting the plastic shell I'll post up some pics for you. Thanks for the tips -MickRosco
  15. Hello. Just posting this thread to see if anyone can give me any worth while upgrades for my Subaru Brat. (Same chassis as the Frog in case anyone is unsure.) I have already had to weld the front wheels back in. I shall post a list of things I think I need if anyone can help me out I would appreciate it. 1st and most important - The whole front end of this model is a little low grade in my opinion such as the front wheels coming out, the suspension is very soft compared to the rear oil filled shocks, the steering rods from the servo to the wheels are very susceptible to bending from small impacts and rolls. If anyone has any upgrade options for steering rods I would still like to be able to adjust the toe angle of the front wheels the same as you can do with the stock rods. Secondly (not very important but a little agitating) is the uprights in which the front wheel's axles slot in to are very wobbly with the standard fixing method (2 screws lol) which I have noticed makes the front end even less stable than I think it should be. If anyone can help me with any of these issues or indeed have any options they believe I need as well as any of those above please feel free to offer your guidance it would be highly appreciated. Thanks -MickRosco
  16. Ye it flies with the 16t in it haha. But yes I did want better shocks at the front because the standard ones are not too great and when I jump my Brat like you said the back shocks are stiff and the back end hops when it lands. Yes I agree the ball diff is a necessary up rate. I have a TL01 Castrol Tom's Supra and the standard diff in that is nothing short of pathetic lol.
  17. Aha thanks for that mate. I'll get some of that banged in there then.
  18. Yes I want performance upgrades as well seeing as my front left wheel came off the other day lol. I already banged in a HPI ESC and a 16t tuned motor. Thanks for the suggestions and sorry for the wait in reply I only just joined Tamiya Club just getting to grips with it. Thanks - MickRosco
  19. That is absolutely brilliant. I have messed about with the polycarb shell and sprayed it pink haha because I have not built it to show off it's beauty (as much as I wish I could) but I do rag the **** out of my Tamiya's so I don't want to become too attached to my polycarb shell. But when I get time and sort of put my Tamiya Brat up as more of an ornament I am going to do the plastic body and take a long time painting it and I'll let you see when I do it if I remember lol. Oh and by the way how did you whiten the writing on the tyres? Was there a specific method or was it just a steady hand? I'll post a pic of my pink shell with the glittery paint highlighting it, not stuck the stickers on yet however. Thank - MickRosco
  20. Hello all I was just wondering if anyone knew where I could find some upgraded parts for a Brat? I can't remember what the chassis is called but I believe it's the same as the Frog. Any alloy parts anyone knows about would be helpful too because I like to bling things up a bit LOL. Thanks to anyone in advance and Merry Christmas. - MickRosco
