Lots of folk have 3d printers, me included, but the strongest, and perhaps most accurate, 3d printing is probably only available from commercial printers. I have had a number of parts commercially printed too. It's not crazy money and it's dead easy to upload and order. Most have a minimum order value, but some don't. Do you have a model of the part?

    Nice,

Ye we still have it somewhere. Might be able to make a blueprint for it somehow and send it off. Its a shame to have a good truck laid up because of one part.

    Thanks

  2. Anyone on here got a 3D printer they can use to knock up parts? My brother has an olf Losi High Roller which has stripped the idler gear and is now useless. Seems a shame to throw it for such a small part. You can 3D print them but I believe it neds to be a good printer that can make reinforced plastic from multiple spools. I thought I'd throw it out there anyway.

    TIA

  3. Well, I was looking for front suspension upgrades for the brat and Google and stumbled on this old post! Haha what are the chances. Still looking 13 years later by the way. I just got her running again today with my new 2.4g receiver and some parts I botched together. Anyone know of a decent set of tower for front shocks? I seemed to do a good job of upgrading the rear shocks in my past attempt it seems and she rides really well at the rear.

I recently re ran a TL-01. I went all 2024, with a 2.4ghz Radio, a 1060 ESC and a 2S Lipo. However, I did stay brushed, with a Tamiya RZ. Honestly it was as good as any more revent budget Tamiya. I really enjoyed it

Nice I'm glad you enjoy it. Mines in rough shape lol all the wheels are shot on it, I think it's the age as well as being well used. I'm gonna get one of them gt3 controllers and just run that in em all I think. Not too bothered about insane speed as I have the 30cc baja if I wanna go full hog lol.

Not only will it work with a MSC, but you’ll be able to adjust the end points and trims on the channel 2 of your throttle servo.
In fact I use 3 of the model presets on my GT3C for nitro models. So, basically same principle as a throttle servo for an MSc

Oh mine isn't a nitro it's a 30cc 1/5 2 stroke. Will it be powerful enough to apply the brake? It doesn't take that much to be honest to lock the wheels

Nice one. I've ended up with a nitro baja thing off my mate as well so might as well get that rigged up as well lol

  7. Wow, not been here for a good while. I recently pulled out my old TL01 castrol toms Supra and my Subaru Brat, both look to need some TLC  and possibly new electronics. Is it worth keeping them old school or getting some more modern gear in them to bring them up to speed? Like a better receiver, transmitter, esc and motor (possibly brushless). I don't seem to have gotten any of them running at 1st glance but not dug too much in to it. Looks like a mouse got to the receiver on the brat so that's cream crackered. Also acquired a rising fighter with a brushless esc in but looks to have been ridden hard and put away wet and not working. What's a good place to start checking everything is working? It's been so long since I built them I've forgotten most of it.

    Cheers

  8. I don't really need to add anything more than what's been said here already, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to :)

Essentially, you can't go wrong with a Stadium Blitzer. They go great out of the box, there's a few little tweaks you can do to get the best out of them should you want to, they're bullet proof and the most fun you can have in RC whilst keeping your clothes on (I should point out this is merely conjecture. I've never combined RC with nakedness)

Haha ye I should hope not. Ye I am really considering this as my next car looks sick.

  9. More fun than a bagful of badgers and tougher too!

Upgrade to a steel pinion and at least a Sport Tuned motor and let 'er rip. With a brushless system these are just insane fun, but even with a decent brushed motor they are incredibly fun to drive.

Spares haven't been a problem for me since nothing ever breaks. I have lost a few wheel nuts, an occasional step screw and a few body clips.

Sounds brilliant. Really tempting to go and get one. Ye body clips and wheels nuts are fine I got loads. I have been looking at youtube video's and it seems so planted over rough ground. Are the stock springs any good or would they need uprating as well?

    Cheers

  10. Hello,

Just wondering what everyone thinks to the Stadium Blitzer. I have been looking at it for a couple of days and I think it looks good but am noticing that parts are quite scarce and upgraded parts are also few and far between. Just wanted to know if anyone has/had one and what they think to the performance and suck of this model.

    Thanks

  11. Ive had loads of fun with my Tamiya Baja King which uses the TL-01B chassis. 4x4 shaft drive, low n wide with a decent amount of ride height and comes with pin tyre that stick to everything, giving an insane amount of grip. I've treated mine pretty rough and it still refuses to break. Lots of fun for little money.

Ye I was looking at the TL-01B a few months ago. Looks quite good but the DB looks sick. So does the Kyosho but only problem is it's RTR so. Maybe I might get a second hand non-runner and restore it. Hmmm who knows yet.

  12. Here's some pics of my upgraded Baja Frog.

Home built front shock tower & unknown dampers from the bay, CRP front bumper & heavy duty rear shock mounts, Yeah racing rear dampers with the softest spring set, .50 cal alloy rear arms & Super stock RZ with a steel pinion.

I moved the steering servo into a more central position & fitted some thicker steering rods. Also fitted the 12mm hex adaptors to alow a greater choice of wheels.

I'm going to have a go at making my own allot nerf bars & maybe rear cage, just to finish it off.

That looks right good. I am going to stick the servo in the center as well because it is just such a stupid design being at the side like it is. I like your shock tower, I almost started building one but managed to get a hold of some CRP shock towers (thanks shwng1973 ). Good luck with the nerf bars and post up some pics when it's done.

    Cheers

  13. I have a small pipe bender & some 6mm alloy bar, think i'll have a go at making some too.

Been searching for a set on & off for the last year.

Ye that's exactly what I was thinking. I am a plumber so it should be no problem lol.

Before you hurry on and look at doing that though I shall send you a PM.

    Thanks
