  1. Hi chaps.

I'm looking to get a rough idea of what i could charge for my Beetle.

It's got b/bearings, new receiver, new servo, new servo saver and new crystals.

The body is complete with no cracks, although the nose cone has been drilled out and 2 LEDs wired into the headlights.

The body has been crudely painted (by someone else) several times with a brush.

    No glass or sunroof.

Chassis is in good condition, although the rear body mountings are missing a section between the 2 uprights and there is slight damage in the centre screw hole just above the front bumper mount.

The MTronik ECO27 esc is assumed dead, but just needs a replacement to get running.

Also with it are the transmitter, a quick charger, 1 x 1200 mah battery and 1 x 3000 mah battery.

    Any valuations appreciated.

    Thanks,

  2. Hi chaps,

I've just fitted a new receiver and servo to my Monster Beetle to go with the ESC. (MTronik eco27)

After fitting the goodies i do not have forwards/backwards.

The car got a bit wet at the weekend, so i don't know if that could cause a fault.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

  3. Hi chaps,

Although not directly related to the subject, does anyone know of a kind of plastic that can be heated and moulded?

I'm thinking of making custom parts for my Beetle, among other things.

I'm sure it exists, i just don't know where!

    Thanks

  4. Hi chaps,

Is it possible to get metal diff gears for the Monster Beetle?

I'm looking at changing the motor and don't want to strip the current gears.

BTW, can anyone explain (for the benefit of someone thick) what the numbers mean for a motor? ie 12x2

    Which gives more torque?

    Any help appreciated!

    Rick

  5. Hiya chaps!

Took my MB for it's first mud-plugging trip.

I've been disappointed with it's performance, especially in the grass, but give it some mud, puddles and wee hilly bits and it rox!

I was surprised at it's performance, especially being RWD, but it handled it all superbly.

Slight downside that the nosecone fell off, thus ripping off the wires for the headlights, and the steering servo broke after an altercation with a curb stone.

Still, **** happens, and it's all fixable so all in all it was a **** good day!

    Rick

  6. Thanks, Shodog.

I don't have buckets of money, so i better be happy with what i've got!

I don't suppose anyone knows the highest turn motor i can fit into the Monster Beetle and still keep the front wheels on the road?
