Berk alert!
Does the Monster beetle use the same shock set-up as the KBF?
What are these limiters, and what do they do?
Where do i get them?
Do i ask too many questions at once?

-
Thankyou for all your replies!
-
Thanks, bud.
Do you know who sells them?
-
Ayup,
I was wondering if anyone has an electrical schematic for 1/10 scale cars.
I want to fit 2 headlights, 2 rearlights and 4 spotlamps to my MB.
Any advice on the subject would be appreciated,
Rick

What's the enviroment compared to my Beetle!
-
Hi all.
On the forum i've seen that Easy Off oven cleaner is great for stripping paint off a plastic body shell.
Does Mr Muscle oven cleaner work, because i can't find any of the easy off!
Cheers,
-
I live in Exeter, UK.
Exeter has very few (if any) claims to fame apart from the fact that my wife and i live here!

Sorry about this, chaps...
I believe a Blackfoot body will fit my MB.
If so, what about a King Blackfoot body?
Thanks
-
Thanks, Shodog.
I got a beetle, then.
It sits funny, tho.
Never mind, eh?
-
That's weird, because mines got yellow suspenders and a bumper.
-
Is there any way of telling if the chassis is BF or MB?
I think there may of been a body swap...
-
Hey all.
Is there an easy way to lower the front end of my MB?
The body is sloping slightly back and i think it's possibly easier to lower the front than to try to change the front body mount.
Any/all ideas welcome!

Heya chaps,
Would any of you buy a NIB (tape damage to lid) scorcher for £1175?
I'm curious because there's one on Ebay...
-
Thanks, guys.
Getting money together is a lil hard for me, so i'll prolly try to resurrect the shell i've got.
Nail polish remover works okay, but it's still an *** to get the paint off.
Couldn't find any 'easy off' oven cleaner!
Gonna take me a while!

Can anyone tell me if there are Tamiya/third party bodies that will fit an MB?
The clown that painted mine used concrete, i think! [8)]
Thanks,
Rick

Thank you for all the replies.
I've decided on the 2000mah pack and delta charger.
After fitting a set of bearings i think i'll leave it be.
Some muppet has painted it, though. Some metallic muck. That should be a laugh getting it all off!
Thanks again,
Rick

Thanks for the replies.
I'm considering a Delta charger on ebay, along with a 2000 mah battery.
There is also a 'sport tuned' RS540 motor.
Are these any good?
Thanks!

I run a Monster Beetle with an Mtronik EC027 esc, and a standard motor.
My battery life is about 10 mins.
It is a Tamiya Ni-Cd 7.2v-1200mAh.
The charger is a standard block like a phone charger
What can i do to make it last longer?
Also, which motor would be a good replacement (for speed)?
Would i have to change the esc?
Hope you can help!
Thanks, Rick
PS. Many thanks to Stefan for his advice on previous queries!

Apparently, the 'tab' thing is a capacitor...

Hi all.
Monster Beetle:
After replacing the MSC with an Mtronik E027 ESC, i'm not sure which wire on the motor is positive and which is negative.
One is green, the other is yellow.
I think the motor (unmarked) is a standard one.
Can anyone help, please?
Also on the motor, is there supposed to be a little 'tab' thing (resistor?) attached to each terminal or should there just be one?
Thank you!
Rick

Resistor update:
Badly rusted and partially melted.
Prolly broken...
Hehehe
-
Thanks, David.
I've looked over the wiring and it all looks okay.
The first prob i had was the motor running without being switched on. I was told this can be caused by a low battery.
After charging the battery for a while, the metal thingy started smoking.
This was all after the car took a light/moderate impact to the front.
An esc sounds like a must, but any other tips or advice you can pass on will be very gratefully received.
Thank you,
Rick
-
Sounds ideal!
Where can i get one?
What sort?
Help!
Thanks!

Me again..
(I'm new to r/c...)

The battery for my MB is Tamiya Ni-Cd 7.2v 1200mAH
Can anyone recommend a good fast charger with auto shut off?
Thank you
Rick
