  1. Thanks for your informative video on YT with your new re-re Dog Fighter 1st impressions.
  2. I'll pass on this one, nice looking buggy though, wish the original Dog fighter was re-re'd
  3. Just a heads up to anyone who missed out the first time around since NIB 2009, a more affordable price than what these are currently selling for online hopefully. I may buy another one πŸ™‚πŸ™‚
  4. I think I need one too but no, can't get one πŸ™‚ I already have a Boomerang.
  5. No misunderstanding mate all good πŸ™‚ just me having a whine about no hotshot ll re-re haha
  6. Yes true. I was only explaining the tamiya rc model time line is all. Genuine HS2 before SS.
  7. Nice! I use to do hop-ups modifying vintage rc, but if something broke, it wasn't easy and or costly to replace. Will be watching πŸ‘
  8. So from the Tamiya Hotshot II blockhead, now we get the Super Sabre on the similar original Hotshot II type chassis? Is the blockhead not exceeding tamiya's expectations? Or am I over thinking?
  9. Will pass on this one! Too expensive due to current Australian 65 cents currency to the $1USD
  10. Great news, nice as, will pass on this one! Will be excellent to see the builds on here and live footage on youtube after release. I already own most of the re-re kyosho vintage off road series...and my wallet thanks me for staying away from the race bred vintage re-re rc kits....turbo optima, turbo scorpion, optima mid πŸ˜… unless kyosho re-re'd their pipe frame 1/8th scale buggies again.....it's shut up and take my MONEY!!! πŸ«΄πŸ’°πŸ˜‚
  11. Thanks again with your links with helpful info mate. I've decided to sell my mf-01x Escort kit and parts, then buy a rally xv01 chassis...and buy the Escort coupe body instead to go withπŸ‘ I must have 1 rally Escort rally rc car πŸ™‚ Escort mk6...nice πŸ‘Yes in my teenage yrs, I owned a Ford Escort sedan 2.0 souped up, my 1st car after i got my drivers licence, it was a beast to drive, lots of fun!! It wasn't an Escort RS2000 (pictured below) but mine use to go hard on the street. Good days
  12. Thanks alot for all your info mate...and for sharing the thread, interesting read up. This is my 1st ever rc rally car kit. I owned a Ford Escort as my 1st car bitd. So it's sentimental to keep this kit. I will build it stock standard out of the box with the lower setting, hopefully the fast trax tires will be the same size as on this Escort, as these are small wheels. Much appreciated info again thanks, saved me getting frustrated...using some hopups for no reason, will sell them, get some cash back πŸ‘
  13. Did you shim up the driveline to limit any play with the shafts? Have you tried the Tamiya Double Cardan Joint shaft #42300? Not cheap though...
  14. You have a link for these TC sized rally tires thanks?
  15. I like the Escort πŸ‘ yet reading that the drive shaft pops out all the time is not a good vibe for a build
  16. A Tamiya design flaw? Purchased the Escort mf-01x some time ago with hop-ups for a build! Guess I should sell it, get rid of it then. What a waste of time and money
  17. Yes not cheap shipping, the bbx in Australia is $500.00 and up, so even after shipping costs for the kit alone, it was a little less than buying in Australia, plus they stock all the bbx hop-ups listed in the kit, so I could get everything shipped together, then the shipping cost went up πŸ˜„
  18. Delivered today from RCJAZ....7458Kms away from my country and delivered 4 days later! Their service is top notch. So I sent another order for more Tamiya bbx hop-ups to complete the build. So happy I purchased this buggy, I was going to buy a shumacher cougar but i prefer realism with this Tamiya bbx kit.
  19. Spending too much $$ on hop-ups and spares for my re-re kyosho kits, guess I'm working overtime again πŸ˜‚
  20. Fingers 🀞 hope all you guys get your bbx kits asap from horizon or tower, or contact them by phone personally to find out what is going on without receiving any updates 😀
  21. I don't regret it fully owing a Terra Crusher, it was a present in 2004, my 1st ever nitro rc. I just had alot of problems with it or not experiencd enough with nitro, out of the box brand new it went ok. The hobby shop never tuned it for me. It was slipping at times and never hit 2nd gear hardly at all. I still loved it...was a beast of a rig. But it never ran full on like hotcakes, as in the terra crusher promotional video above from the hobby store. I sold it.
