Backlash - Interesting. The thinner tyres I've seen recently weren't actually on TamiyaClub, but on other various sites. At least I'm SURE that's what I saw. But now I know that the Brat wheels are ALL the same size. And thanks for the link, I'll have a look and see what's what. Dojo Dave - While that may be true of feeBay US, the selection of wheels and tyres on feeBay UK is somewhat limited. I'll keep looking though, maybe something will pop up in the next day or so.

Hello once again. I be after a set of Tamiya Brat wheels and tyres (or Sand Blaster according to the image). The rear wheels must have the old style "star" hub, or whatever it's called.. I have NO idea. I'll put a photo below. I believe the front wheels of the Sand Blaster was thinner than the rear... but I require the wheels that all the SAME size. So if anyone has a set of these (all 4) please do PM me as soon as you can. IT'S URGENT... somewhat. I'm currently watching a set on eBay, the auction ends on Wednesday at 8:20am, so if anyone does indeed have a set, please let me know before then Many thanks.

Cool, thanks. I actually came across that thread a few days ago. Looking at it, it looks like something I'll definitely have to try. Incidentally, as I mentioned above, I have a Launcher AR 17x2t motor. I've recently read that maybe a 17t motor will too much for the Hornets gearbox, and that maybe a 20t motor will suffice. Does anyone have any other ideas? Or maybe what the best motor option is to use on the Hornet.

Ian_Gsi16V - I admit, I do like the look of it without it's spoiler, but I've always had this thing about spoilers. To me, some cars just look naked without them. And a spoiler, whether it's functional or not, always makes it look a little nicer. If I mange to save the old shell, I may remove the spoiler form time to time before using it... see what it looks like. And also, please do share the gearbox lock mod, if you don't mind mongoose1983 - Well then, I hope you manage to acquire a Hornet body soon. Never really done a restoration before (always been a nervous I'll completely mess it up). And no worries, I'll be posting pictures as I go XV Pilot - I've always wanted to restore a Hornet, though I have no idea why I chose a Hornet in the first place. So I'm looking forward to finishing this off, so I can see just HOW fun they are!

** If you wish to see the photos in one place, here is a link to the album on Imgur - http://imgur.com/a/fNZKP ** Originally, I wasn't going to post this restoration/refurb on here, but I eventually decided otherwise. Basically, I purchased a 1980s (1987 I think) Hornet from a seller on eBay, as a partial restoration project the guy never finished. I've been on the hunt for a Hornet restoration project for some time, and this one was just right, The seller had already replaced the chassis, gearbox, wheels, tyres and servos with new ones. This was a shame in a way, as it meant I had less work to do, but on the flip side, it probably helped my wallet as well. He also included a brand new, un-painted body. The current body, which I've recently removed all the stickers, wasn't in a bad condition. Just a few cracks here and there, and a lot of paint chipping off. Once the Hornet has been restored, I'll have a go at saving the old body, if I can. Anyway, the car needed an speed controller to replace the mechanical one, a new receiver and a motor. Thankfully, I have a spare 17x2 motor I can use, and have recently purchased a new speed controller and receiver, which should be here soon. I've also purchased the paint for the body. Above photos show the chassis and the original bodyshell. Hopefully I can save that shell with a nice coat of paint on the inside and the outside. The spoiler couldn't be saved, but I have an idea how to obtain a new one. As mentioned, the old mechanical speed controller will get replaced with a new one. Once the new items arrive (hopefully by Monday) I'll upload some new photos, before starting the re-build and painting the new shell. And these one show the new shell, ready for painting. I wanted to paint it Metallic Red, but the site I usually get my paints from had none in stock. I tried to get all the parts in one place, but that failed. So I opted for a different colour. You'll see once I upload the photo. I'm sure this restoration.... I use the term loosely... won't be all that exciting, as most of the work was already done. So it'll most likely be a short one. Anyway... feel free to follow the build... or don't, I won't blame you

WANTED: Tamiya R/C Skyline GT-R R34 Z-Tune Spoiler/Mirrors...
TrueBlue replied to TrueBlue's topic in Trade Archive
Oh my God, I'm sorry to be the biggest pain in the backside right now, but would it be possible to substitute the R32 stickers with the R32 H-Parts (spoiler/mirrors) instead? I know I keep changing my mind, but is that possible? Cheers. -

WANTED: Tamiya R/C Skyline GT-R R34 Z-Tune Spoiler/Mirrors...
TrueBlue replied to TrueBlue's topic in Trade Archive
Thanks for the replies up there. I may go down the road of contacting Time Tunnel just to see if they can get any. Looking closer at the spoiler, there is a chance I may be able to save it, with some sanding down and some paint. Truck Norris, is it possible to obtain some of the Skyline Z-Tune R34 stickers, as well as the R32? So two sets of stickers if possible? -
Me again, after some more parts for another Skyline. This time, it's for the R34 Z-Tune. I'm after just the spoiler/mirrors plastic parts, which are parts number 9005798 (H-Parts). There is literally ONE seller on eBay with the item, and they're in Hong Kong. Other than that, they do not exist outside of that eBay seller. That is all. Just the plastic parts. To be honest, I only need the spoiler, so if anyone has it with or without the mirrors, whether it's still attached to the sprue or not (and unpainted), I'll be happy to take it off your hands Many thanks, Alex

WANTED: Tamiya R/C Skyline GT-R R32 Stickers/H-Parts...
TrueBlue replied to TrueBlue's topic in Trade Archive
Cheers for the reply. At the moment, thankfully I'm not in TOO much of a hurry that's I'd need to order them right away. The H-Parts I can find easily on eBay, but it's the stickers I'm in great need for. If it's OK with yourself, I'll be happy to wait till the time you are able to get them, and I purchase them off you. I can wait 3-4 weeks for the stickers... though I may get the H-Parts soon. So if it;s cool with you, I'll say yes to buying them off you.- 4 replies

OK, so I've searched and searched the internet for what feels like forever trying to find a sticker sheet for sale for the Tamiya Nissan Skyline GT-R R32 bodyshell. I ruined some of the stickers by removing them over and over trying to line them up properly, but I can't for the life of me find a SINGLE sticker sheet for sale ANYWHERE in the UK. The only one I've found on Earth on eBay is in Germany. While this isn't a problem, the time it will take to arrive in the UK is somewhat unappealing. I am also in need of the plastic H-Parts (mirrors/spoiler) as I somehow managed to the lose the plastic inserts for the mirrors. I have managed to find this on eBay UK... but if can find both from the same person, or at least from the same PLACE, then would be helpful. The item number for the bodyshell is 9005356, the item number for the sticker sheet is 9495576 and the item number for the H-Parts is 9005356, not really sure if this helpful though. If anyone can help out a fellow Tamiya fan, even if it's just the sticker set as those seem to be the hardest to come by, that would be a major help. Cheers much.

Thanks for all the suggestions there. I was thinking about giving the acetone-free nail polish remover a go. I don't have any but i can get some in the next day or so. However, njmlondon I'll be more than happy to give the Tamiya polycarbonate cleaner if you can help out. I'd rather not ship from Japan, if only because of the shipping time. Let me know if the offer is still open.

So I've scowered the interwebs for a solution to this, but have'nt found anything concrete. I find multiple answers, all saying one thing or another, nothing clear. Unlike most people however, I do not need to remove large or thick amounts of paint from a polycarbonate body. I forgot to place the masking stickers for the winders and lights, before I started spraying. Fortunately, I only managed a very light dusting of paint, like a light mist. I really just need something strong enough to remove it. I wouldn't bother if I planeed to use the light stickers, but I'm using LEDs, so yo umight be able to see the paint. Does anyone have any solid ideas, JUST to remove a light sprinkling of spray paint on a polycarbonate body? Thanks much.

Anyone after a TA-02 chassis? Here is mine on the eBay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/231426581150?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 No wheels or tires, or receiver crystal... but DOES come with stock motor, Accoms receiver, steering servo and Tamiya TEU-101Bk speed controller. Will also throw in a spare stock motor and a 3000mAh Ni-MH battery. Go take a look... if you can... please?

For sale is my Ford Escort Cosworth Repsol body shell. Originally bought off eBay back in 2010, because it looked quite good in the photos, once I received it, it wasn't AS good as I thought. After a few runs the paint starting chipping and falling away from the shell, and the shell itself seems brittle in some places, as does the paint. There is a fair crack on the front left See photo) whch I did try to repair with super-glue. The previous owner also seems to have attempted black-lining or whatever it's called. I've managed to rub most of it off, but a little remains. I had bought some of the original red and orange paint to try and refill the resulting gaps, but that didn't work. As you can see from the photos, it's escalated beyond anything I can repair. So I thought I'd try to sell it, maybe to a professional restorer, or someone who has the knowledge and equipment to maybe refurbish and/or repair the body. It does still come with both wing mirrors and the Whale Tail spoiler, which to be honest seems to be in a much better condition than either the body or the mirrors. At some point, I drilled two addtional holes so it could fit both the TA-02 chassis, and the TT-01 chassis. Due to it's.... condition, I'm not really sure how much I can even ask for it withtout everyone going "Bite me" so I guess I'm open to offers. If anyone IS interested, then God help you, PM me and I can only ship within the UK. Thanks for looking, if you did. If you didn't, then...
