1. One
will start a new line. Two

will make a make a complete break to a separate block of text.
2. I'd like to take this oportunity to bollok Mr Netsmith for killing off TC. How on earth can you "accidently" delete an entire website!? Does his keyboard have a "Delete Website" button that he accidently pushed? (like the airplane seats that have a "wings fall off" button, in the Larsen cartoon). Fortunately I do have a life outside Tamiyaclub, so this didn't affect me at all. And now that the lawns have been mown, the house painted, the kids rooms tidied, the car washed, the trees pruned.... I might have more time to play on the Billiard table I discovered under the pile of junk and stuff in the rumpus room......[]
3. Try right-clicking on the members model entry and open it in a new window. That way your main page is always there and you don't need to hit the "back" button to get to it. Just close the window when you have finished viewing the entry. Much quicker way of browsing. I know that this doesn't cure the original problem
4. I had a similar situation on an item I sold on our local auction site. I tried to be as reasonable and helpful as possible, but the buyer seemed to be suffering some sort of paranoia. He sent very agressive and threatening emails. To cut a long and unpleasant story short, I offered to refund the cost of the car when I had it back in my posession, and if it was still in the same condition as when I sent it, ie: "Send it back and I'll refund your money". Well he acused me of lying and trying to steal his money, and insisted that he would only send the car back when I refunded his money. When I checked his feedback on the auction site I saw that he had had many similar transactions with other sellers. He never sent me the car back, and was de-regestered from the site soon after.
5. Not fussed about the trades, but losing showroom descriptions would be a bit of a bother. Mind you, not so much of a hassle for me as for someone like Jason (wldnas). Can you imagine how long it would take to re-write those epic essays? That wealth of knowledge of obscure RC brands should not be lost.
6. I'm more focused in what I'm collecting now, and I'm going through the "thinning out the collection" stage. This is a very slow and painful process. I still like to collect what I started with, but I'm much more careful about what I buy.
7. AYK Viper and AYK Sidewinder both had a pipe frame version. Also the Hirobo Zerda.
8. You want the 4 x 10mm step screws. They are used in many other cars as well. They come as spares in a pack of 5 - part # 50585
9. I'd say the Hilux 4x4. The highest prices I have seen any Tamiya kit go for on ebay have been paid for Hiluxes. This is my personal favourite too, as my first preference is for trucks. The number one of any series has got to be a strong contender, so the 934 would be second on my list. SRBs because they just have that X-factor that makes them all-round greats. I have never been bitten by the Bug, in fact I seriously disliked VW Beetles 20 - 30 years ago, so I would collect a Ford Ranger before a Scorcher. Having said that - the Scorcher is obviously the favourite for the vast majority of collectors, and so must rate at or near the top of the list.
10. The Pumpkins' chassis tub is almost identical to the earlier Pajero (58044) tub. The Pajero has the battery mounted on the rear tray. The Pajero dampers are different though, and the damper rods don't go right through the chassis where they would hit the battery.
11. There are no reverse-thread wheel nuts that I know of. If you use the proper lock nuts (nylock type) then they won't come off. You can't use ordinary nuts and expect them to stay on.
12. Just to get further off the track - what's a "Trophy Truck"? Is that like a Stadium Truck? (I don't think we have these things here in New Zealand). I'd agree with mr Ps pricing though. XCs are very popular, even in used condition. $25 for a chassis and rear axle would be a steal. A lot can change in 2 days on an ebay auction, in fact most of the action usually takes place in the last few seconds. Still, if you are in the right place at the right time....
13. They're from the late 70s. My original one came installed on an RC12E that somone had bought in (to New Zealand) from the US.
14. My first ever RC car came with a single stick controller. Very easy to use, in fact when I changed to 2-stick I thought it was a hassle having to have both hands on the controller! My original one was a Sanwa/Cox. I was lucky enough to find a new one on ebay a while back, while looking for parts for my original cars' restoration.
15. If you can only get the spray cans (or already have a can), then spray some into a bottle cap until it pools, and then apply it with a brush.
16. I haven't deleted them yet Chris (not going to add!). They are on this one: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...25&sid=2193 Can you access them or do I need to send you a copy? Don.
17. I have just found that one of the cars in my showroom has attracted some "spam" comments - links to what might be a car insurance website (I haven't tried it). Four of these were placed on the same model over a period of 8 seconds. Anyone else had this?
18. The b-word was used in a TV ad for Toyota cars here in NZ. In fact it was the only word spoken in the ad (about 6 times). It was and still is known as the "******" ad. Caused heaps of discussion in the media.
19. What about a shelfer that has all the radio gear in, and only needs the battery thrown in to be running? I'd class my black Porsche as a runner: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...128&id=2193 it just doesn't get taken out very often.
20. No. I don't wear white trousers or a silly hat. Those guys talk funny too...[*-)]
21. I'm blue and I'm only a foot high.
22. So a Tamtech-Gear Hornet eh? I wonder how many of the classic buggies will get the T-G treatment. And where does the "sparrow drumstick" fit in there?[]
23. Crikey! We just got rid of him. We don't want him back![]
24. I'd like to see Tamiya make a nod to where it started out in RC - using their highly detailed static model bodies on a radio-controllable chassis. Ok, not back to chassis so basic as the 934, but by the same token, I don't need a car to win races with. There are plenty of other options available for that. I'd like to see a chassis with realistic suspension and drive elements. I don't really care if the handling is bad. I'd like these parts to be mostly made from metal. I'd like to see a body made from hard plastic, with lots of detail, chrome, and an interior. I don't care for most modern car design. Bland bland bland. Aerodynamics and economics have robbed most modern cars of all character. I'm interested in cars - on-road, off-road, trucks, tanks and rigs, but what I'd really like to see are some replicas of classic sports cars. I know that Kyosho had their "Nostalgic" series, but these were issued with lexan bodies which just doesn't do it for me. What I'd really like to see is this: A Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing.
25. Well spotted! My one and only (broken) black bumper has no writing, and I have 4 grey ones all with writing..
