The "Postman Brought Me" Thread

It has arrived! It's going to be very difficult to get any work done between now and 5pm.
-
That sounds like a good idea. That way if you roll it over and scratch it up, you can just hit it with more clear.
-
Just got the shipping notification this morning from Tower Hobbies.
-
I was just looking at a listing on eBay for a 2015 MB, and the pics show that Tamiya has not modified the G or J trees. The Blackfoot parts are still intact. Confirms what is in the new MB manual. Good news for folks looking for BF body mounts!
-
My wife just put in a pre-order for an MB on Tower Hobbies. Best birthday gift ever! Best wife ever, too!
-
I used to use the CRP bearing supports -> http://www.rcchopshop.com/crp/1608.html I don't know if these are still available, but they might be on the bay somewhere. I don't remember having any issues with the diff in my beetle, but maybe I was too easy on it!
-
I skipped the question with the infinity symbol next to it. Clever data miners!

70%, but I'm sure that luck came into play on a few questions...
-
I noticed today in RC Driver magazine that they used a photo of the original MB in the blurb they did about the re-release.
-
That makes sense. I wonder if there's limiters inside the shocks, or if they're just shorter than the original units.
-
I wonder if that's why they added those shock limiters.
-
Yes, it looks like they left it out this time around. The Beetle and the Mudblaster both shared that part.
-
According to the manual, the G and J parts still contain the Blackfoot shock and body mount parts. Still want to see the actual trees before I get hopeful at the prospect of an original Blackfoot rere.
-
Can you believe it? I lost two models.

I did this with my M03 that is currently in a box waiting to be rebuilt. I couldn't find that box for anything. Someone (me!) put it up on the shelf in the laundry room! -
I don't mind the size of the box so much as how it presents when you open it up. The packaging of the original was nice and neat. The modern kits just look like a jumble of bags and a body. Sorry, just feeling like an old curmudgeon.
-
I sure do miss the days of blister packs and tire boxes. Would you mind posting some pictures of the G, J, and K part trees?

What Are The 4 Or 5 Best Tamiya Models To Own And Run?
RCcoachworks replied to Grumpy pants's topic in General discussions
My all-time favorite list of runners would have to be... TXT-1 Clodbuster M03 Wild Dagger Monster Beetle - waiting for the rere so I can have a runner again! -
@backtomyroots, can you confirm if the body has the holes for rearview mirrors? We need more pics!
-
The old beetle only had 2 5x11s in the gearbox. I wonder where these two are meant to go?

They're originals, at least as far as I can tell. They have the light blue backing paper and the Tamiya logo and application instructions on the back. The paper is slightly yellowed around the edges, and the tape on the clear sleeve they came in looks authentic. The decals themselves look perfect, though. Great coloring and no wrinkles. -

This showed up yesterday at the front door. Picked it up on ebay for a fairly reasonable price. Now I can get to painting and detailing my Blackfoot body. -
Wow, that is a great collection! I love the Monster Beetle poster.
