  6. thanks, i did have a quick look and the only ones i could find were new ones. £80 for the chassis (i have 2!) £50 for the B-parts £40 for the roll cage (again, i have 2!) i know that second hand parts arnt worth that though, thats the problem. although mine have been painted, there's no damage to them that i can see. what would you do? lol
  7. hi guys, along with being given a monster racer, my dad has just given me a box of random parts and in that box are a fav chassis and what i think is a wild one chassis. the fav has also got the body cover with it, with driver and gun and roll cage. the drivers arm has come off, but is still there. front suspension is present on the fav also. a friend of mine is pestering me to sell them too him and i dont really want to sell them without knowing what they are worth as i dont fancy ripping him off or being ripped off myself. any info would be great guys, many thanks. p.s. have got a load of other bits in the box too, will have a proper look later and post pics.
  8. thanks for the responses guys, am now on the look out for re-build kits for the shocks. i never realised that there was so many choices of wheels and tyres! will have to make a decision soon on what to get i think. the only reason i asked about the slipper clutch mechanism is because my hilux seems to have one installed already!?!?!? not sure how well im going to get on with it but will definatley give it a try and see how i get on. im currently in the proccess of modifying a sand scorcher shell to fit on the chassis as i fancied building something of a one off, i'll try and get pics up as i go along with it. once again, many thanks for your help and your welcome!
  9. hi everyone, im new to the site and thought id say hi quickly and ask a couple of questions... ive aqquired a hilux monster racer from my father that ive stripped, cleaned and put back together. however, ive noticed that the original cva shocks are leaking and was wondering what shocks could be used to replace them as i cant seem to find originall ones for a reasonable price. the second question is, what other wheels can be fitted to this model? i'd like to try and get some road wheels and tyres as most of the use it will get will be on tarmac. oh, and one more thing, have any of you heard of one of these being fitted with what is essentially a slipping clutch mechanism that feeds the power in gradually rather than just going straight to full throttle? many thanks for your help in advance, and keep up the good work on the site, its a credit to you all!
