  1. Got up at 10 (Iwork nights). Had another think about my Mad Bull steering, tore down the Hornet chassis and cleaned it. Then had a think about mods for it. Had a look at the tuber crawler chassis to decide what to do with that. Had some dinner, phoned office about work tonight. Not a bad day.
  2. Must admit, I like Mtrniks as well. The Viper SSR is reversable and I also find them Lipo friendly. Got use a cut out on mine though. And they're waterproof. Just ditch the Tamiya conns and fit Deans.
  3. I've got a few TXT 1 bits hanging about and this old tube chassis. Amthinking of doing something like a Rock Racer contraption. Don't know about power though. Probably single motor brushless. Front wheel steer only. Thinking about what gearbox to use. Axial? Comments would be welcome. Thank you.
  4. Has any one got going spare some of the brackets suitable for fitting the 3rd shock to a Hornet etc. Thank you.
  5. Where do you get the small "U" shaped brackets from please.
  6. Just out of curiosity, if I was to sell my Barking Mad Bull, what would be a realistic price for it. The mods are as follows. Ball raced 12mm hex adapters on the front, FX10 suspension, 3 cell Lipo saddle pack 14 t Anssmann motor, Tamiya Beadlocks alll round, new Geolanders, Ansmann shocks all round. The body is original and could do with a lick of paint. I think that's about it. Comments welcome.
  7. Can Mad Bull or similar driveshafts be fitted to a Hornet gearbox? I would like to use hex mount wheels instead of the 5 pin set up. I've just found the solution. http://www.radshaperc.com/TamiyaWheelAdapters.html
  8. Just got my own Hornet rolling chassis. Missing the battery cover, no problem, no servo, ditto. First thing is to strip and clean, then get started on the rebuild. Bearings obviously, then tyres. The ones on the car are shot.
  9. OK. Thanks for putting me straight.
  10. http://stores.ebay.co.uk/2keys-RC-bitz?_trksid=p4340.l2563 Am I right in thinking that the Mad Bull and Hornet chassis are a DF-02 type? If so this guy has a few answers. Things like proper driveshafts to take a bit of grunt, alloy stering arms, alloy suspension bitz, alloy shock towers etc. If it is OK, I can see a lot of blinged up beasties coming out of the woodwork.
  11. I have 2, 3 cell packs in my Mad Bull. total capacity is 2600 Mah. They are wired in parallel. Fitted snugly in the standard bay.
  12. Just won an early Hornet rolling chassis on Fleabay for £20. Now I need to figure out what to do with it. Any ideas are welcome. Thanks.
  13. I've got a TA-03 sitting here with a build me look about it/ Some hop up bits are fitted, mainly on the front end. However,I also have a choice of motors lying around as well. I have enough parts to build a twin motor should I wish. But to go totally mad, has anyone tried twin brushless and twin ESC's? I use a Spektrum DX6i so I could have front and rear on seperate channels. That would be interesting. Or how about a 1 wheel steer drifter. That would be bonkers, but do-able. Over to you lot.
  14. Well, the Barking Mad Bull is now about done. I've done every thing I set out to do, steering, suspension, power, wheels and tyres etc. Now for the next project.
