  1. Yes, I think I may be guilty of such an offence..
  2. So would these fit the Frog? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tamiya-54154-F103-Carbon-Reinforced-Front-Upright-Hornet-Grasshopper-FAV-Falcon-/290731010360?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item43b0eb2938#ht_4241wt_1114
  3. Just an update, I can see that the old receiver an Acoms AR-2/ 27 has BEC but how does all this configure, I can se that the receiver needs a BEC and the old one has it, the new one doesn't and runs 2.4 Ghz as opposed to 27 mhz, I'm a bit confused..
  4. Cheers TA-Mark, you knew this was coming but how do I know if my receiver has an internal BEC? Thanks It looks like I need a different receiver?
  5. Good point Mongoose, I was thinking that- I've taken em off! Cheers.
  6. Mine Acoms Techniplus 2.4G has just arrived! I've a few questions regarding the standard speed control the TEU-191BK, I'm not too sure about how to go about connecting everything, I've read the manual but the query I have is regarding plugging into the new GR 24 Receiver, where does everything go?? 1)The servo that came with the Techniplus is the Acoms AS17- is this a better servo than the Futuba S3003 that I am currently running, do I have to use the Acoms Servo with this, or would the Futuba be a better choice? 2) I can see that the Servos have three cables, and the speed controller has three cables, but then what of the remaining two leads black and red, with a read plastic cap? Where do they go. 3) The new Antennae lead looks very short, its around a quarter the size of the original, I don't know if it will even reach the original antennae pole Any diagrams, tips much appreciated cheers,
  7. http://tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=93411 Just been having a look around- this looks great!
  8. Not good, Will keep an eye out for a sand viper.
  9. How does the Rising Fighter compare to your recommendations, I take it that its not a DT02?
  10. Hi Kev, cheers (by the way my Tamiya bag of bolts came- cheers for the recommendation) I'll try this- that sounds like a really great idea- thanks mate.
  11. The Sandrover, happy memories my first ever buggy, going wayyy back to the early 80's. I had a deposit card and used to pay £5 every week, it took forever but I remember getting all the goodies out of the box and all the atoms gear! Might keep an eye out for the DT02MS then but definitely the Sand Viper, cheers. So I could carry a lot of my Frog upgrades over maybe? Its got a Saturn 27T motor at present.
  12. Sand Viper looks good, yes I just want something I can run and not keep repairing or having to modify, how does the suspension compare between the Sand viper and Frog Re issue?
  13. Am I flogging a dead horse as they say? Just a bit of advice, I have a really nice Frog re-issue, tons of hop ups and extras but its one thing after the next, I am wondering if I should look at a different buggy- if possible something that my Frog body would fit into or that I could carry all the parts over from, the upright shafts have started coming out, the rear shafts upgraded as they kept popping out, just looking for a really good tough off roader, any recommendations? Much as I love my re issue and original I am looking for something that doesn't require so much maintenance!
