Wheels are now hydro dipped candy lime green I used www.aquagraphix.co.uk they did an excellent job even matched metallic finish of Tamiya's paint hard to pick up in the photos though

If you would consider replacing the decals you could strip off the decals and paint and place the body in a bath of bleach (ordinary household thick bleach) this will leave the plastic totally unharmed but the white will turn out brighter than Richard Hammonds teeth

@Saito2 I hear you buddy I have spent over twelve months painstakingly building a retro inspired monster truck (Clawing Dead) almost finished... have already started work on another retro build which will be TXT-2 gearbox and axles mounted into RC4WD Gelande II chassis plates. So will be ladder frame style build keep your eyes peeled build thread will be incoming

Hydro dip the body with a camouflage pattern I am sure a UK based business will have that print in stock

Literally the only thing I don't like about this truck is the body sits too high if it were 10mm lower it would be spot on. I am sure this can be easily adjusted though...

Thanks buddy makes all the time and effort put into this truck worth it took only 48 hours to de chrome the wheels in a bath of thick bleach as opposed to two and a half weeks for the grill piece. Turns out the plastic underneath the chrome on a set of Clod wheels is two grey and two midnight pumpkin yellow. Who knew! Wheels will now be posted off to get hydro dipped candy lime green

What do you think so far guys? Next few steps to do then truck is finished; # Decals for super charger and reg' plate # Custom roll bar and custom light bar # De chrome wheels and have them hydro dipped candy lime green

Guys anyway to fill in a hole in a hard body? As you can see made a right mess of one of the body mount holes really gutting.

The parts I need out of the press parts bag are BP5 L shaped stay X2 if you can find me two L shaped stays I would be eternally grateful. They are the metal brackets that hold the front grill and rear tailgate on to the body.

Bit more progress for you guys removed chrome off the grill with thick bleach (you can use thin as well) does not harm plastic in anyway shape or form took over two weeks so you need to be patient. Every three days or so you will need to use fresh bleach as its power lessens over time simply leave it floating in the bleach and you will end up with perfect plastic surface to spray onto. The chrome literally melts like putting an ice lolly into hot water. Sprayed grill Tamiya TS 52 candy lime green to give it spooky appearance to match lettering Primed and sprayed clod body Tamiya TS 14 black then posted off body to Jo Taylor www.aerograffiti.co.uk and she air brushed Clawing Dead lettering onto the doors for me. Sadly photos do not do the quality of work justice the lettering has really cool fading light green to dark green and dark green shadowing behind it. Photos do not show sharpness of the lines either. Jo then clear coated entire body for me awesome job done by Jo very happy need to wait for clear coat to fully harden then I can re open body mount holes and mount body on the chassis. Be patient body on shots to follow soon!

Fantastic I went to Cosford air show last month the P51 display stole the show for me doing a loop the loop and barrel rolls. Hopefully I will be at Scampton and Southport air shows in September. Any more air shows planned MadInventor?

ESC and receiver mounted at the front of the motors four wheel steer is installed and Crawler King drive shafts installed so truck itself is finished. Just need to finish off the body and truck is finished body has been posted to www.aerograffiti.co.uk to be pro airbrushed by Jo Taylor will be completed by the end of august so stay tuned...

What bugs me is the time it takes for the customs fee slip to arrive by post I paid 61 dollars postage the package arrived in the UK lightning fast on 6th June. Customs will wait a few days and then send the slip out by the slowest and cheapest postage possible so probably receive the slip by the 12th June. In this day and age you would think they would send me an email demanding payment for 70 pounds (or whatever it will be) I can then pay fee and arrange postage date and receive my package a week earlier. For 61 dollars postage the custom fee slip should arrive next day for the customer. Just annoying.

Steer clear of RC4WD Clod Buster clear window it is very poor quality I returned and got a refund on window I ordered off them. Was not aware beetleman made his own version I might just contact him.

Amen to that. Have done it this way for years with numerous Clods/ Juggs/ TXT's none have blown up yet or caught on fire so I guess it must be right!

Holy thread revival time. Have wired up Tamiya TEU-106 BK TWIN MOTOR esc for the longest time and just want to check I am doing it right example below. Yellow esc wire to yellow motor wire Yellow esc wire to yellow motor wire Blue esc wire to green motor wire Blue esc wire to green motor wire Basically I connect + to + and - to - I assume this is right lol

Agree I think it looks great and I actually think size wise you have it spot on once you spray the body orange the decal will shrink in size a bit so to speak. Have you seen my ZRP Retro Racer build thread I need some custom decals making can you help me? I will send you a PM
