  1. Wouldn't mind a factory finished body ! Chris
  2. For me it would have to start with my first ever tamiya .... A frog, followed by Hotshot Hotshot 2 Porsche 959 Bruiser. To be quite honest for me five is no where near enough, i don't have a huge list of loves I've some people but certainly have around 15 cars I'd love to have on display. Chris
  3. Really trying to not get back into Lego myself but the latest technic set due to be released are really drawing my attention. Luckily they are around the same price as most tamiya re-res so I don't think I'll be buying any soon. Chris
  4. Been very busy lately so not posted in a while but my postie has carried on bring me little bits. Recently received a trf sorting tray, a trf motor case and some 80s tamiya stickers. Chris
  5. Looks great for the price .... Always suspicious of fakes on eBay when it comes to branded torches/knifes But for that price I'd give it a shot. Chris
  6. I think your right about the prices, some of them are reaching the price of a whole kit for just a few parts. Maybe I just spend far too long searching compared to when I first got back into Tamiya and I only checked eBay about once a week ... I now check about twice a day! Think I need a break. Chris
  7. Am I the only one that's noticed a large reduction of pages on eBay when it comes to re-res ? I remember when I first got back into Tamiya being able to choose from plenty of parts but now there seems to only be a few, especially on the avante? As for the vintage scene I really notice the lack of original decals ... As expected I guess, just hope I'll still be able to get those I still need when finances allow. Chris
  8. Still looking at torches, I have a pezel head torch but need something with a lot more power, have a leatherman and for if things go really wrong a few esee knifes. I use terra nova for tents and rab for the bags ... More than likely most people would freeze if we lost power here.
  9. I'll put my hand up to having a bug out bag ..... Think it stems from Love for camping and hate for the world of today lol
  10. I was kind of hoping that is would be the end of the franchise Steve as it would be a fitting movie to end it on and I'm sure anymore will not live up to the previous films, but I guess there will be more if the interest is there. Chris
  11. Well not long back from watching this with my eldest daughter and have to say it lived up to all my expectations. A very enjoyable film but it's a pity my 5 year old is a bit young for it as I'd love for her to have that cinema experience of a Jurassic park movie. Chris
  12. Charged the daughters lips for the jun hornet .... Almost 2 hours to charge! Guess I shouldn't leave it 10months between charges? After that she proceeded to terrorise other chrildren, dogs, adults and anything else that got in her path on our local field. Really need to get myself a runner this year ... Think that's the third year I've said that on this forum! Chris
  13. Today brought a titanium turnbuckle wrench and another avante torque slipper. Chris
  14. Can't wait for the release , taking my eldest daughter and really hope this has the impact on her that the original had on myself although she is a bit older than I was at the time of the original. I'm a huge huge movie fan especially of the 80s, my wife who is 7 years younger just doesn't get it bug growing up in the video age was the best. Hope this lives up to the original as I have high hopes for this film. Chris
  15. Last few days I've received a trf motor case, avante torque splitter and some GMC lazer cut emblems.
  16. For me it would have to be for them to produce some abs 80s TV/film car/pickup bodies as well as some 80s normal car bodies.
  17. This looks like it's going to turn out great when finished, starting to think about getting a vintage to do up myself. Good luck with the rest of the restoration. Chris
  18. I'm 39 so just miss the leaders group, good to know I can keep buying toys and not feel guilty though!
  19. Thanks Mokei, will give it a miss if it is, was hoping for another iconic re-release as I'm so close to finishing my collection now. Looks like I'll have to wait a while longer .... On the positive my wallet will get a rest! Chris
  20. Again posted on tamiya blog, any ideas to what this could be, something totally new from tamiya or another re-re? Chris
  21. Hi and welcome back to rc and the club. Chris
  22. According to tamiya blog we will be receiving a kumamon dune buggy along with a few other things, nothing again takes my interest but I'm sure thiers interesting things for others. Chris
  23. Try model Seidel for a bruiser body, they had all the parts a few weeks ago, not sure how much shipping would be though but it is a set price no matter how much you order. Chris
  24. Well I'm really looking for a hotshot 2 or a 959 although a bigwig would be more than welcome as I've just risked buying a decal sheet on the hope it will receive the re-re treatment sooner or later. Chris
  25. Although it is a re-re and different spec to the original the rtr Bruiser seems to be very rare, I've only ever seen one on eBay and I've checked everyday since release as I'm after a factory finished body ... Don't think I'll ever own one of them. Chris
