  1. Just added his to my x-mas list, I had a zx48 and have such fond memories of the 80s ...... Tamiya and 8 bit computers. Chris
  2. Today the postie bought me a nova fox suspension parts set ....... I assume this I'd the same as the boomerang 2008 set? Chris
  3. Quandry were already in trouble with the name we already have, first time in 23 years I'm off most of christmas. If the postman brings the rest of my orders I may be able to do a Christmas build.
  4. Nothing today but I did get two things on a Friday, another boomerang gear set and I also got my big x mas present from my wife. The postman didn't bring it but thanks to our local hospital I know have my 4th daughter Chris
  5. It's probably me just being picky Wandy but there is some areas where the paint looks a bit thicker and a bit where it almost looks sandy. It's not that noticeable unless you are close up to it. I'm not too bothered as it's still better than I could achieve and I do have a spare scorcher body kit in case my painting skills ever improve to that level. Chris
  6. I don't even have the kit yet tamiya 1/10, think this is prob the craziest thing I've done in this hobby so far .... Although I'm still not sure it's any worse than the super shot roof I got taxed on! Anyway it was one little treat as I have to work x-mas day night so that should more than cover it, got my big Christmas present coming from my wife on Friday and before anyone asks it's not rc. Chris
  7. Well it's arrived with a snapped wing mirror and to be honest the paint job is no where near as good as the xb buggy champ ...... But like Wandy said I guess it's not really going to go down much in value and I'm not sure I'd be capable of painting it anywhere near good enough for a shelf queen. Chris
  8. Today the after paying my ransom my postie delivered my xb painted scorcher shell. Not happy that our parcel service managed to snap a wing mirror! Chris
  9. I fell out with our postie today as all he brought me was a ransom note for £20 for an already very expensive body. Oh well guess I should have learnt my lesson from last Christmas when most things I bought got stopped. Roll on Monday when I get my scorcher shell. Chris
  10. Hope this is worth the money Wandy or I blame you! I don't have a ss yet but I do have a buggy champ. Not sure it's worth getting a ss as well is it? Chris
  11. Not much of late, but today I did receive a set of fighting buggy decals and a spare fighting body roof. No luck with finding a body yet though. Chris
  12. Today we decided to meet my daughter at school with her hornet in tow, 10 mins on the local playground and it's now in need of a major clean ..... But great fun was had although I think the dog would disagree as he hates it. Chris
  13. Welcome back, and looking forward to another build thread. Chris
  14. Not too keen on the website design myself but also tried to pay for a few things using PayPal the other day and it wouldn't have any of it, I usually pay by c.c but have not tried on the new site. Chris
  15. Bought one a few months ago wandy as I had 20% discount at work, can't really comment on how it looks as like everything I get its still nib! It's going to be our family Christmas present so I have to leave it alone till Santa has wrapped it
  16. I'd be very happy with an egress, nova fox or mountain rider or even another super hot shot so I can have a runner. Alas any of those may be an issue as I've already bought a fighting buggy and ps4 and got caught sneaking them in lol. Chris
  17. I started out with a re re hotshot which was purchased with the intention of displaying it as a bit of 80s nostalgia. I then found Tamiyaclub and after a bit of reading of other re-releases and those people were willing to get re-released I realised I could possibly own all the cars I wanted as a child. A list was born, however I feel the skills and enthusiasm shown by the members of this forum are the ones to blame for my original plans going west! The list has grown and I now find myself looking at rc's I never once had an intrest in. Luckily I haven't got the vintage bug yet although I do own a few vintage decal sets and guide books. Chris
  18. Cheers for that step on it and Wandy. Arhhhh I haven't opened mine Wandy so not able to check the roof but that is a major issue in my eyes, although I guess if some of the eBay sellers get some parts they'll be sold as roof only and hopefully be unmarked ? Chris
  19. Nice to see inside the box Wandy, couldn't bring myself to open mine as it has to go into the loft (no more room left in bedroom cupboards) going to get a few body's when they get released and thinking metallic blue for the colour? Anyone know if the scorcher hop up diff will fit this? Thanks Chris
  20. Just a quick thanks to Stella models for my new fighting buggy, bomb proof packaging as always and amazingly quick delivery. Chris
  21. More boomerang spares and the first big order in a while .... A fighting buggy thanks to Stella. All boxed and put away till x mas. Chris
  22. Welcome to the club, love the cossi ... My mate had the same body kit with the texico decals fitted to a mardave if I remember correctly, was a long time ago. Oh by the way lock up your wallet! Chris
  23. Today I received a few more boomer spares including the g parts .... Almost have enough to finally build one meaning a get to keep my nib ..... Nib ! Chris
  24. Got one of these myself Steve, looks like you had a much easier time putting it together than I did. I found getting the top on quite a tight fit and used more than a few swear words! There's a review on you tube where the guys overcharge a lipo, apparently it's the best of all in the event of a failure. Chris
  25. Hi and welcome, as had been said ... Prepare to become addicted. Chris
