Axial were supposed to be making a kit for the xr10 to put cutting brakes on the rear axle which is the same sort of thing and would be great for a tractor build but I don't think they have done any more with it. I would love to see a system like the OP but it would be an expensive project

NO joy trying to solder a Deans Connector. ?
wheelyking4x4x4 replied to SRB Bloke's topic in General discussions
I use 60/40 tin/lead solder and an old scope soldering iron, hot in seconds and doesn't stay hot. I have solder with and with out the flux and I find no difference at all, just that the flux stuff is thicker. Definitely look into a new Iron and then its just practice. Make sure the wire is tinned all the way through and put a small blob on the tab. You will know its hot enough when you put the solder to the tab and it flows on like butter and covers the whole tab. -
TXT-2 Build, Nice truck !
wheelyking4x4x4 replied to backtomyroots's topic in Monster Trucks, 4x4, Wheelie Rigs and Crawlers
It has a twin motor chassis but it isn't like a clod. both motors drive the same gear just like an emaxx. Also I think 2 brushless systems would begin to eat things! Nice build, I wish I had the money to get one! -
I am interested in the red pickup in this shot looks a bit like a mountaineer?

Hey guys, I've had this body for ages, originally I had it on a HPI Cup racer chassis for a scale on road look, but I decided I wanted it stock so I found a vintage chassis on ebay for $20 and ordered a heap of parts to complete it! Here is the body after I finished it, it started out as a metallic special but I stripped the paint and chrome off and went matte black for something a little different. The chassis arrived today and so far no real surprises, I think I have ordered all the parts to revive it. These wheels came with it but I believe they are for a blackfoot I decided to stretch a MP tire onto it and I like it Hopefully I should get the rest of the parts in before the weekend so I can start the rebuild!

My new Juggernaut!
wheelyking4x4x4 replied to wheelyking4x4x4's topic in Monster Trucks, 4x4, Wheelie Rigs and Crawlers
Well I have a bit of an update, I found a full set of original shocks on ebay, along with a full set of plastic links, always great to have spares! So i fitted the shocks and stripped down and cleaned the upgrade ones while i'm waiting for the 2nd set. I have also ordered a set of TXT shafts so I can do away with the very weak brass tamiya driveshafts and put in a pair of what i think are Jato shafts (same uni as revo but the perfect length) -
Hey guys, most of you would have seen my juggernaut thread, and ever since getting it i can't stop running it, its just too fun! So i've had a couple spare sets of new clodbuster axles around (were for my 8x8's trailer) and I decided to find all the parts and build a Clodbuster. I found a good original chassis and shocks for the right price and I also found an original body at a good price. The chassis turned up a couple days ago so the build begins! The chassis when I bought it I have since removed the aftermarket battery tray and other non original parts, Some people may cringe but i have changed out the red shocks for blue ones; the axles came with the blue parts and the red bits are going for silly prices on ebay. The axle links are in the mail - i will hopefully have them by the end of next week, should have the body then too. I am using Jugg tires because i had them and I think they look far better I am planning to paint the body up in super clod colours with the decals, I think it will look better beside the jugg that way!
