  1. I opened the grill on a porsche gt3 and used screen repair kit. Hot glued in place. If you need some of the lexan in place for securing the bumper then fill around those pieces with the screen. Best of luck I like your thinking. Make it your way. Hot glue after painting mock it all up first then clean, paint and assemble.
  2. So i stripped down my original Willys' wheeler shell to find some hairline cracks in a few areas. Now the question is do I box art or add my own style to this classic icon. My problem is i have q hinda city turbo shell non box art. And the leftover hct decals would go a treat on the original. But I just cant decide..
  3. Theres a member on jere that does all sorts of hop up stuff for the chassis on his shapeways site. Ampro. Suspension front and rear etc. If its an original Blackfoot and it was cheap have fin with it til it gives you yrouble then worry about gearbox and dog bones.
  4. I know the feeling. I have 3 fairly mint ones and just bought an original wheeler.

  16. I was a bad boy! I found an original wheeler last night in Hong Kong and banged the BIN button. I've never owned an original and I believe this closes my wallet for 2017. Lol. But we shall see. Chassis looks mint. Body needs a little work. I guess we shall see.
  17. Well my favorite vintage piece is my Lwb Wild Willy, they're fun to build fun to restore and really just the peak of quality Tamiya crazy fun in my opinion. I've just finished build my last one and may strip and repaint it because its just not my vintage green (like when I was 11). Dont run them much. My favorite fun basher is my Wild one re release. And favorite road car is my ta06r corvette. At the moment. Also love the 40 year ta02 chassis just not the body fit, its fun with a reedy 30000rpm motor
  18. Went to the track with corvette ta06r and Porsche ts02sw ftp chassis. Word to wise if you want it nice keep it home. Body work on Porsche required.
  19. As long as the funds replenish through trade swap or disposal of unwanted cars. The wife doesn't grumble with me. If you were closer I'd happily paint the scorcher. SRB restoration is a favorite of mine. That and Wild Willy jeeps. Good luck on your quest. IBIFTKH is a talented builder painter perhaps reach out to him on the forum. He will relate to your family plight. His forum name translates to I Bought It For The Kids Honest.
