Stripped 5 layers of paint of a pretty sweet WW body. Easy off... thanks Mud. Then I sanded, washed scrubbed, registration stripped. Washed sanded until I was happy. Painted a beautiful first coat. Let it dry. Then put my big thumb in the second coat. Time to restrip.

Stripped some nasty paint off some mint wheels, and put them along with two I already had on the most recent WW. Now I have a dilemma. I have completed an almost perfect WW. Unpainted body and driver. And on a decent budget. My dilemma is someone want to buy it for a fair price... kinda stuck so probably just auction of one of my less than perfect ones. 4 in the stable and one growing in my spares box.

Well over the past two weeks I've been a little bit Naughty... I bought not 1, but 2 more 58035 original Wild Willy jeeps... the first I thought mint chassis and 3 perfect tires and rims (stripping paint on rims now). And the other a near mint body with a runner chassis. Take them all apart shuffle it about a bit and.... Tadaa. The rims and tires that are on it in the picture are reproduction tires I bought a few years back and the rims are off another car. The wheels I'm stripping will most likely go back on this car or another one near by. The spares chassis is going in the chop shop box for parting out. So if you're looking for WW parts give me a shout.

A simple motor upgrade is a sport tuned, then you can go to a higher rpm motor in the brushed motor line or take the step into brushless. There are many affordable brushless combo kits that can be bought on the evil-bay. I like to keep things simple as I do think race and don't run things to crazy. If you like the speeds you've got keep it simple. If you only want to be a little bit faster do a basic upgrade. If you wand heaps more speed and don't mind spending money on shells gears tires swing arms steering rods etc go crazy. It's a fun hobby keep it fun. Keep it simple. This won't be your last car. It's your first of many. Mwahahahaha. -

X20 won't do you much good on poly paint there mud sorry. -
They look like what came on my dark impact.
-
I haven't read the other thread and I really like the dark impact, I have had the black one as my first new build in 30 years and since bought 2 df03 one road one white edition dark impact. I like the buggy it has some rather fragile components. The tie rods bend on tumbling and if the pop off you can lose a dog bone. I don't race only play around. If you're somewhat careful it's a fun runner. With a Traxxas xl5 brushed system it Flys. The two used units I bought where run with a castle sidewinder set up. A bit crazy if you ask me and the previous owner cut the tub to get the esc to fit. Not much room in there. Sorry for the rambling. If you're interested in might sell my white edition it's got quite a few hop ups. David

Thanks Sven I looked at those. Just fiddling with the pinion looks off probably need to order the correct one. Might get the carbon fiber side plates at the same time.lol. Oops it fell in my cart.

I received my new (to me) Ta06R it would be awesome to share pictures but since every time I click anything on Photobucket I get a spam post and can't shake the derppy thing. Sorry kid word. The box art raybrig nsx body is pristine as is the chassis. With its blingy blue alloy. And carbon fiber. I have to figure out which electronics I will use. I have a castle sidewinder that I may use. Anyone interested in the body let me know as its not really my style. Pm me and I'll get you pictures. The car also came with two sets of dish wheels. One set still in the packet. Sweep qts-28 wheels. Not my bag baby. Sweep tires cleaning formula x1 and x2. Pics to follow. Probably getting a 67 corvette body to set off the hpi meats I'll put on it or I'll use some modern wheels and go with the Dodge Challenger body I have coming. Oh boy. Decisions, decisions...

How about a blazing blazer re release, or a proper WW m38 re released in its original chassis. None of this kinda ww

I just filled accidental holes on a Lexan shell with product called bondic. Fantastic search it on YouTube. 45 second fix the no sag behind the decals.

Sold some spares... a not to my standards corvette body... a brand new Traxxas Slash body and a set of tires/rims from the same. Took a little of the stick g out of the Ta06r I accidentally on purpose bought. Thanks to the supplier of the damaged corvette body he refunded my initial cost and then today I received a replacement body. Oh to be Irish. Today I was receiving long overdue due luck. Weird this week I found a lost wallet after cancelling all cards and replacing all id's and signed up a couple of nice new clients. Let's keep the fingers crossed that this streak continues. Lotto tomorrow.

Ta06r IS a 4wd chassis.so

I made the mistake of paying attention to my eBay notification. And bought a very tidy Ta06r with hop ups and extras. Not sure what it will go under but definitely not the next shell it's coming with. Probable the new Dodge challenger shell I have coming. We shall see. I have a rather nasty habit now of bidding and hoping I'm not that lucky. But it never seems to go in the other guys favor. Oh well another one for Dojo Dave's house of tidy toys. Might have to hide this one for a little bit not that the misses will mind just don't really need another.

Tonight I painted a 1970 Chevy Nova shell and mounted it to my old ta02 chassis. My impatience led to some runs in the pearl white stripes but as its a runner im not really worried. Ill post some pics tomorrow. Real sweet metallic blue with pearl white sport stripes and some chrome bumpers. Im liking my choices in colours wife gave the final go ahead on the sport stripes so not all the praise goes to me..ah well . Rushed another paint job. Never learn
