I've had a 2wd slash and still have a 4wd Blackout. The Blackout has been stellar for us. It's a joy to drive being 4wd, but more importantly the drivetrain has been straight up bulletproof, even on a brushless 3300kv lipo setup (usually 2s, occasional 3s). i'm still on the stock gears after a year or so. Main failure i had was the a arm mounts on the body, which required a new body at $10 or so.
The slash was also good, but it's 2wd vs 4wd. both have their benefits, but for general bashing away from a track, i find 4wd to be more enjoyable with varied terrain. A 4wd slash is 3-4 times the price of the blackout.
2wd slash very affordable

Packed and shipped a Wild Willy m38 jeep to Australia... paid for a new Street Devil and rebuilt the rear diff of the Street Devil I have.... Not due to it being worn but because some Muppet built it wrong to start with. Tricks are for kids Tamiya vintage not so much. It's like my kids build Lego and then destroy it, never to be reassembled.. I shake my head because I love the kit and appreciate the detail. Bit then with out the blocks we cannot be creative... paradox.

What's the difference between a TT01 and the drift spec?
Is this something similar? (I know it's not tamiya, but looks a close copy?)
Don't know really. But if I want to play around drifting I stick a set of slicks on my tt01 with the one way front diff and when I get bored switch again. Lol.. nothing fancy

Over the weekend I had a new built FAV arrive. Then pointed out to my buddy Mud a cheaper one. And then another cheaper one. This one has those awesome alloy wheels so there's a bonus. Just love these chassis. Sorry no pictures as I've been at my upload limit for a while. It will be in my showroom soon. Also updated my showroom pictures with the latest in the stable.

Are the Manta Ray shock towers and universals still produced?
I did order the Yeah Racing prop shaft and motor plate, but they will probably arrive weeks after the kit so I will probably build stock at first.
I did forget to order a stainless steel screw kit. I like Allen/hex heads and fine thread screws. This time around I might use the stock screws. I need to get a good Phillips driver so I don't strip the screw heads.
Order the 8 piece tamiya driver kit its like $25 And is a fantastic investment. 3 screw drivers two nut drivers... And 3 hex drivers. Yeah I know. He said nut drivers..

What about if you don't have any that share parts but you're still up to 6 (not counting my boys 2)?
Is there some sort of therapy available?
Then you soon arrive at 30. Wondering which car you like least to sell so you can justify the car you just bought that shares parts with the favorite that is on the shelf because even though you love running it youve modded it now to the point its almost to fast to run safely.... Oh and then your taste gets more expensive. Ooo carbon Fiber or FRP chassis. Lol enjoy. It's cheaper than drugs or other women.

Listed and sold an M03 chassis I had lying around. 30 minutes on fee bay. Must have been too cheap. Lol
-
Not today but Tuesday I decide since my Clod buster wasn't selling, I figured I'd split it so I listed the chassis for a decent price the tires and wheels etc and the body.. in the time it took for me to put the leash on the dog I had an offer on the chassis, sold and now shipped. Word to the wise Florida to California is not $25. My mistake before discount it was $42. With discount 32.95. Personal note check before you late night list. Body and tires are impatiently waiting for a new home. Lol.

I realised that who ever built my street devil was a complete muppet.... rear diff assembled wrong so a strip-a-roo and reassembly will be required. Isnt that what instructiins are for. To be followed. Totally fuming

Over the briney sea the Devil came to me. My street devil showed up today. I'll need to smooth some edges as its a new built..... by someone else.
.
Box. I instructions and new built chassis. And a box of oxo cubes as a bonus. Thanks Matt Nash.

A little of topic but I was hanging out last week with a buddy in his new collectibles store... Good friend to have.. I noticed about 15 or 16 twenty gallon containers. I asked about the content. He had just bought one of the largest collections of hot wheels,/ matchbox cars in the US. Literally thousands and thousands of new in packaging hot wheels cars. I only mention this as I know there are a few guys on here that collect them. The store is called the Winer's circle. In Wellington Florida.
Also on the shelf was 1972-2011 playboy collection. Lol.

So last week I listed a few cars on the devil bay... auto correct is accurate.
Among them an original WW. It was in original body colors I got it and even though I loved it that way I figured I would make it more traditional. Some drab olive some new after market decals.... 2 day strip and repaint. Not my best work but not bad either. Any way its back up on evil bay today
