The only cogging I've noticed was with an orion 2.5t running in sensorless, but with the, now expired,mamba max pro esc. Ive a sidewinder that's going to see battle duty now , so I'll see if that's any different.

@SuperChamp82 Go for it! I'd go for a 2nd hand car , motor and esc, thats the big chunk of cost, and face facts, if you're fresh back, you're going to crash, so you're going to need spare funds for parts. Radio gear wise,( I'm guessing you're on sticks) I like the Core rc CR151, just under £60 and a micro receiver (£15) , although I got told the micro receiver works with the tamco tac330 (which looks exactly the same) , it doesn't. Servo wise, the best metal geared servo you can afford,I picked up some 2nd hand brushless ones, but just got a low profile Alturn for £20 and it seems fine so far. Head to your local track and see what they run / have for sale, if you're on Facebook, join local and regional RC club pages as they will have car's, parts etc for sale. Battery wise, you'll need a lipo, which one will depend on which car you get, some only take saddles, some shorty's etc. 60c+ would be preferable. Charger wise, you can get chargers fairly cheap, skyrc do the Imax b6 which i have , and it's fine.

Limitation?!? Shouldn't be a problem, It's a 4wd chassis! 😛 I found the best, for 2.2", were the stock dark impact off road tyres! I find them predictable, enough grip to get it moving but would spin the wheels instead of launching the front end in the air. What I used on the DF03 93kph run.

Thats the replacement to the one I have/ had. At $100 (£78) its maybe do able too 🤔😮 Edit:- Only $5 For shipping too?!?!

Just a size comparison between the tyres sizes! I may of mentioned the tyres ballooned a bit, and it wondered all over the show (like doing plate spinning and controlling it with an rc controller) , managed to grab a screen shot from the vid.

Need to see what eBay throws my way! A mamba max pro was on a few weeks ago and I hovered over the buy it now button! 😕 I normally only do 2 runs,a check out pass and a full pass, then go home, but was so close to a 60 mph run!! Saying that, 80 on the check out pass, 95 on the first full pass (esc cut out) then 94, then 91 POP!!

Asking too much of it without a rest, I should have just done a check out pass, then a full run and gone home, but no, I wanted 60 mph, it thermal cut out after the first full pass, which should have give me a hint... I think the gearing is/was too tall,a 4 pole may pull it, it wasn't pulling as good as with the smaller big tyres on, the tyres ballooned too so maybe a good 170mm+ of rear end. I'd set the drag brake to 10% to give a controlled stop, but hit the brakes a bit myself on that one, just pushed it over the edge.

Yeah, not the cheapest of esc's! 😕 I stupidly thought I get one more run in, even after it cutting out, speeds acually dropping etc. Turn the volume up, you hear it go bang and the end of the vid.

Want to see if we can get a better deal with a bulk buy of esc's? 🤔

I'm pretty sure the thermal cut out kicked in, steering but no throttle. I could see it, it just wasn't moving! Got a bit of a jog on and everything 😧, but didnt see anything smoking so walked up lol. I wanted over 60 mph 😔

Well, I like the new run venue, wide, long and slightly down hill 😁 The fastrax tyres balloon like mad, not quite visable in the vid, but the movement across the road is the tyres moving. Literally it's final run.........

Not much left up these sleeves, unless I go for a more gear optioned chassis 🤔 It is that! I'm loving that you have to go down to 6th to get a duplicate chassis, keeping things really open. I'm also liking the more categories,nothing like getting your name to the top of one (even though it's a pain to update @Jason1145 !) , would a "silver can" category create a more cost effective league?, although it'll likely be dominated by f1 car's.

More of a vertical drop than a slope 🤔🤣 I can recommend a 1060 esc and 3s lipo for the boomerang, ran really well.

I've "only" run 7 cars 😔, not 10 and Marui Ninja is spelt, well, like that.↗😜

Unfortunately, there are no real gear options on the DT03 (couldn't even get the 20t pinion to mesh nicely) and as far as I'm aware, the DF03ra gears are the tallest for the DF03 chassis! 😔 More lipo's? 🤔

I'm sure we'll come up with something to get a buggy back it's crown.....

It looked fairly planted, remove a weight or 2? Not sure if this area would be legal? The drag strip at York is about halfway between us, if you fancy a days speed testing?!? 🤔
