  1. For some reason, bid on,and won a Schumacher procat. Tis the season you can have parcels arrive and not be questioned by the wife though!
  2. Stands me at around £60 for ebay sourced vac pump, tesco vac cleaner and home & bargains panel heater. The rest is 'recycled' after annual maintenance in work, even the metal for the framework is old school tables from a skip.
  3. Guessing you mean small RC orders, not a 8.5" posi for a chevy 10 bolt!! lol
  4. Some projects lined up for 2016,but tbh, it's more finish projects that I've started! Kyosho ultima - needs electrics to make a runner. OSB II - fair bit needs doing. Dark willys - On road Dark impact with Parma willys coupe body. Marui Ninja - make one good one out of the two I have. Schumacher fusion - rebuild diffs and fit 2nd Gen TA body. Scornet - Sand scorcher body on hornet, (been done that many times I'm sure there's a generic name though) Be interested to see how you go about this,as last on my list:-Vac former - After collecting a vac pump, vac cleaners, pneumatic cylinders, heat lamps and various relays, solenoids and switches the past few years,it's about time this was finished.
  5. Defo 1:18, the muscle machines are caricature models.I don't know what's happened, but,it looks like I made progress! Took it into work last night, normally that's the kiss of death and I don't even get a break! The plan was to get on the milling machine and make some bits, but,as a job was already set up in it, I had to opt for the 2nd option,an angle grinder!! Dug out some key steel Attacked it with the technical equipment Actually turned out no too bad! Found some small conveyor chain guide Which turned out to be a near perfect size! Needs a fettle, some tie bars to stop flex etc, but no bad!
  6. I've been toying with the idea of building a pulling truck. Having wanted a playskool orange Blossom as a kid and having a new Parma 34 pick up shell sat in the loft, along with a hornet with troll tyres,I am thinking this should build itself! Not sure, with it being this close to Christmas, that the updates will be regular, but here goes. For those not familiar, this is the 80's pulling truck An 1/18 muscle machine has donated the engine Managed to pick up a set of aluminum hornet wheel sections. So far it isn't as much a build,as a collection of a few bits.
  7. I thought you'd appreciate it Erich I was thinking either, seeing about a price for a new fangled 3D printed extended chassis,so everything would just bolt on. Or,Use a bit of fabricated channel to extend the rear Gearbox assembly, that gets the weight forward too. The rollbar is off a midnight pumpkin, forgot about the cut outs for the spotlights though! May just cut them out. An 1/18 muscle machine donated it's engine, will look not to bad once set in the body right. Ally tube isn't too expensive either,so going to try that route for the headers. I don't know, have you see the 'sand blitzer' of truck norris? I don't know if I should start a build thread? The builds on that thread are way above what I could muster!
  8. Good luck with getting a porsche for £3k! lol
  9. Managed to get half hour to trail fit the new wheels and other bits on the hornets. Not sure if I like the black wheels now they're on,maybe some white tyre lettering will split it up a bit? I was kind of hoping the body would line up better, looks like I am an inch too short! (insert own jokes)
  10. Sorry to add a wrong wheel drive daily, but, here's my old girl up at Aviemore,Scotland. Defo going with project car once she's finished as the roads are awesome!
  11. Urm,stars? Can they only been seen in the 'old way' of going on the Internet and not on the smart phone?
  12. Splendid stuff. Subtly done,as subtle as XR4i's can be!! Wheels look stock, never would have noticed the 5 stud. Those V6's (2.9 in 4x4?) took some abuse, made good torque and responded well to tuning (ie turbos!)
  13. Nice! Can't be too many of those kicking about now. Got to love the sound out of the V6.
  14. I've tried various methods (but not the ultrasonic cleaner) and have access to industrial parts washers/cabinets,(one of which actually started to melt a body). I still think washing up liquid in warm water,a tooth brush and elbow grease is the best way, especially if you can sit with a bowl,in the lounge, with the TV on!
  15. Wow! An old SCR that takes me back.
  16. Just getting my bearings.
  17. That easy,we might need a clue!
  18. Correct,Knew it was too easy.
  19. Clue gave it away This should be an easy one,not had chance to get better pics.
  20. Worried about 'manta' ray?
  21. The auctions end in a couple of hours. Send me a PM if you are interested in bidding and I'll give you free postage (on items over £5)
  22. The Parma body is a Ford,OBS is a chevy, it would never work, or would it?
  23. Just bought parts from europro975 on here and on ebay.
  24. Yes,yes it is lol I prefer their price though.
  25. They are 'troll' tyres, got them off ebay. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271634722973?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Not sure if you can dye tyres like you can wheels? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/371305837871?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Although these don't look too bad,not sure if it's someone on here selling them? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201460947641?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2648 I was going to fit them to my rough rider (selling on eBay atm),but suit the hornet better I think.
