  1. What to do if you've got two ideas for a hornet, but only one hornet? Of cause, buy another hornet! EBay purchase arrived (well the other day,but not had time to photo it),plus new wheels from europro975. I know,I know, I am selling stuff as I don't have time, but hornets are easy/quick builds, aren't they?!?!
  2. I have actually got around to listing on the dreaded ebay! Send me a PM so I know though!
  3. I'm going to put this parts lot on ebay in the next hour or so. I know I posted a few months back and didn't get any interest in any of the parts, but, just incase,SHOUT UP NOW if you see anything of interest!
  4. Am I reading this right? Someone has your items, for free, against your will and somehow that's legal???
  5. Wasn't me,I was busy 'winning' a hornet for a planned project!
  6. Looks so so much better, with the tyres THE RIGHT WAY around! OCD overload lol
  7. Interesting build! The MSC looks like a period correct (mid 80's?) one you would find in a holiday buggy. Same date for the receiver,I remember the Acoms long lead,it was the first one I bought, paying £65 (over £200 ($300) in today's money)! You can convert them to BEC,using diodes to drop it down to 6v,just means you have to chase it when the battery dies,as the servos pack up before the motor does. As markbt73 said, bearings where expensive back then.My recent loft find RRC mag of 1988 post, has the hornet bearing set listed as £14,(£45 or $70 today's money),meaning only really race cars got the bearing upgrade. Good luck with the build,a real insight into builds of yesteryear.
  8. Stunning! My very thoughts too! Doubt I have the painting skills or the patience to be anywhere near as good though.
  9. Looking fantastic! Do you not get an undertray with the kamtec repo body?
  10. For iconic,i would say:- Bruiser (buggy?) Hotshot Avante For favourite I would swap hotshot for bigwig.
  11. It's one of 3 in the series.(not worked out how to paste YouTube vids,so here's the links) Twin mill:- Kyle Petty :- Definitely liking red, white and blue. That would work either side of the pond.
  12. Funnily enough, one of the Hot Wheels i wanted was the Hot wheels Legends to life,Don Prudhomme funny car,but at around $600 for a good one,I think I'll just have to want!
  13. I had bother for a while posting pics, even after uploading them to 'photobucket' Turned out,it doesn't work on 'Internet Explorer' and had to use 'chrome' Now it's a case of upload to photobucket, click 'Get links',copy the link for IMG (for forums),and paste on here.Job done.
  14. My 2 hobbies are RC and 1:1 cars. 'luckily'(??) the 1:1 is American,so parts I need to move forward can take weeks or even months (ordered body panels in June, still somewhere floating about on a boat) to arrive, which gives me a fighting chance for a bit of RC tinkering. Although the tinkering this week, has been sorting out RC cars to sell, projects that seemed a good idea at the time!
  15. All in all I raced for 5 yrs,and the only reason I have these,is there where a few pics left to take on the roll after our holidays,so was just 'using it up' before a visit to supersnaps! Guessing the T shirt was brand new then, and knowing my mate,he'll still have it,and the optima mid custom! The ultima only needed a slight nudge on the front end and the aluminum chassis folded,it was forever getting bent back into shape.TBH it was better than it snapping as it meant you could at least finish the race! lol On the vid, 2.00 to 2.10 is where the 'pit' pics where taken.
  16. Found some interesting photos while searching for somethings else (seem to be doing this alot recently!) Taken in 88/89,a winter Friday night indoor racing at Aughton chase in Lancashire, when Southport outdoor season ended, guessing the date as I purchased the ultima when it first hit the shops. Went on YouTube, to see if there's any videos, all I could find was this, race Hall from around a minute in,bit gutted tbh.
  17. The RTR ones I have atm are, dark impact, RB5, 2x lunchbox (maybe, not actually tried them since I bought them!),Monster beetle (again, not tested yet) and a fusion.
  18. It will take some organising to get us all out at the same time! lol There's a bmx track on the North Rd for off road stuff,(although I've not managed a full charge without breaking anything yet!) I only have a schumacher fusion that's on road, but, have ran the dark impact at Greenfaulds train station carpark.Room for a 100+ cars, and never see more than a handful parked. Don't know if there's anyone else local?
  19. You lot have good eye sight! Grave digger bodied schumacher fusion, with my try at air brushing.
  20. Looks the business though! Yeah, some of the engineering going into the modern stuff is fantastic. Thought you'd like that!
  21. Nice build! Are you building for so or go? Found this, http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-ARISTO-CRAFT-Draggin-Waggon-RC-Truck-Pulling-Sled-Traxxas-Kysho-BOXED-/191716136183?hash=item2ca32c14f7:g:uzoAAOSwo6lWHtVD
  22. Just tried it,found if I closed the page completely, then opened it back up/ signed back in, it defaults back to the mobile one.
  23. Lol, Never overestimate the benefits of overkill.
  24. One that's been on my wish list for years, turned up this morning! (sometimes you can forgive the postie for waking me from my nightshift slumber)
  25. It's not the photo that's bad either,it's no different in the mag itself.
