  1. All Fluorescent or Neon colors need to have a white base.
  2. well like i said before i would try some Alclad you won't be disappointed. They only make metal colors and i use them all the time and have used just about every other brand. Here is a link to their site so you can see the range of colors they have. I have taped to it decaled over it and it stays without getting sticky etc. http://alclad2.com/
  3. Alclad chrome is the best i've seen and i've used just about every kind. they have it for lexan and for exterior chrome you do need to put gloss black under it but its looks fantastic.
  4. The brown truck dropped off Tacon 3500KV , 4200KV brushless , Solar metal gear digi servo , 4000MAH SKy Lipo. and a Proline Chevy 1500 silverado body.
  5. The postman dropped off a new raptor 2wd rolling chassis today.
  6. yes it is very cool and another plus it's a kit. 350.00US at tower. Seems like everything is all in one box RTR nowadays but tamiya.
  7. did you get the GT-3b? man you cant beat it for 35 US and $7.00 recievers. i love mine use it more than the 3 futabas i own.
  8. ya these are slash 4.3 on duel profile size rims ,i miss read your post. your looking for the ones that fit the jato ,stampede etc. ya i don't want them on the box but thanks for the part #ers.
  9. ok here ya go. pics are kinda dark but here they are anyway you can get a idea.
  10. Well I've been in the RC hobby for close to 30 years and haven't sold much either ,almost scared to add it all up to be honest. I have a lot of planes to add to the too many rc cars and trucks. don't even want to start adding up the extra engines glow and electric. someday I'll get them all in my show room. If you need back-up tires for your back-up tires you have both hands in the cookie jar!
  11. Yello, i have some tires/rims here for my slash same size as the trenchers you asked about ,do you want me to mock them up on my lunchbox so you can see the size?
  12. Castle SV2, JConcepts Tense Front/rear rims. Traxxes BF Goodrich TA tires.
  13. I got some Ray heads for my FAV project , 70mm oil dampers for my Baja king and some Buggy champ rims.
  14. great pictures , my one small dog used to chase mine all over and the 90lb German shepherd is scared to death of the things, he hides when he spots them.
  15. That would really be a disappointment if they did that the chassis is what makes it so special, I just hope the change the dog bones.
  16. Mine was a Fox back in the 80's, i got sick of replacing the hex dog bones and traded it for a Robbie boat
  17. Real nice, and i agree about the wiring it can become a real eye sore. I'm in the middle of doing the interior of my SS and it seems hiding the LED wiring has taken some time. looks great!
  18. In hard areas like that if the tape won't seal down you can always use liquid masking tape you brush it it on then you can cut it etc. usually tape will seal down in most all cases make sure the plastic part is squeaky clean after i was plastic i always wipe it down with 91% alcohol as well make the tape really stick Also if the paint actually ran down through a grove then it was put on to heavy. use nice light to medium even coats especially around tape lines etc. to avoid unneeded build up. Be patient and wait for the paint to tack up before each coat your time will be rewarded.
  19. Zac you are correct and micro mesh works fantastic for clear plastic parts i use it daily. It does take some time to sand polish clear plastic but very doable. As a painter by trade it can be a pain at times but also VERY rewarding if the correct steps are taken. It's all in the prep work. as far as tape goes a fine line tape should be used on color breaks stripes etc. then filled with masking tape and paper on big areas. fine line tape is cheap and makes razor shape lines in your paint work. It is also very flexible for curves and comes in just about any width.
  20. Looks neat, I remember years ago when this was a fad 1:1 scale.
  21. Understood. I was more in line of being crazy when it was just a few months ago you could get the Tamiya ball diffs for 30ish and i a guy had new Thorp ones for 30-40 bucks, i believe it was Pargu2000.
  22. U used Thorp one also ended at 125.00 US, that's just crazy!
  23. Yes it sure is.
  24. Hi All, I finally joined the club and subscribed, I've been a lurker for years but no longer I have close to 20 Tamiyas and look forward to adding them and some builds I'm working on to the showroom. I look forward to learning from you all and hopefully helping add some input to the hobby I've been involved in RC for close to 30 years.
