i use the Turnigy 2200 2s lipos in mine with a $3.00 volt alarm they work perfect.
-
i like that with the fan, how is the fan wired? does it come hard wired in already or can you plug it into the receiver? the few i have i would like to just see if they will sell the case with the fan in it.

That's interesting i'm in if the price is right and i'm pretty handy with a soldering iron. How big is the transponder or receiver that goes in the car?
-
Let's just hope these same morons don't ever learn to fly. I've seen people like this dive bombing dogs and people with park sized planes. complete insanity. Not funny, just STUPID
-
hmm i like that body i wish i knew how wide it was it needs to be about 8 inches wide. i don't want the wheels sticking out.
-
ah i did find some from dinball 65 shipped with no decals a lot more than i want to spend for a basher body and ideals for a good truck body that fits over the tores for a TA01/02?
-
Can you buy one? Just the body and decals that is? I checked ebay and a couple other places and did not see one. I would love to do something different body wise with my Humvee
-
yep the CC combo is the way to go if you are going to buy a castle motor for sure .real good deal with super great customer support I have called them a few times for a couple of my airplane esc's and they are great. i have a couple of Tacons and Hobby wing motors so i also have 2 SV2's to use with those.
-
I have to turn the punch control way down on them in almost all my bashing sessions or the wheels just spin and spin, almost ridiclous, if you don't already have the link or field card get one it's worth it. also the SV2 and SCT esc's are the same you just can buy the SV2 by it self and combo. The SCT is just a combo with the fan and motor.
-
I seen this asked before on another Board and Castle stated this "the only difference between the 1406 and 1410 motors is the kv and length."
-
well was i was a kid in the 70's we were all supposed to have personal jet packs and car would run on water and they would fly by the year 2000. "JANE!!! STOP THIS CRAZY THING!" 1.1 Cars will still run on gas just less of it and RC cars will still run on batteries just smaller and more powerfull in 2040 is my guess.
-
tower also has the DuraTrax 1/10 Element 3900kV Brushless System for 119.00 witch is made by Castle. http://www.duratrax.com/motors/dtxc3122.html
-
that's why castles gearing charts have "OMGWTFBBQ" on the higher rated kv motors.

Trust me there is no comparison between a brushless and brushed motor waaay more efficient waaay more power .a 9 turn 380 EZrun will well out perform your venom motor. I have one of the. ezrun 380's in my king black foot and believe me when i tell you it moves on 2s just fine. a full 540 can is better yet because there is a million other applications for it later on down the road. that esc looks fin paired with a ezrun 540 can or one of the tacon 3650's at 25 bucks the thing will fly. As TA-mark said you will want to go with lipos the higher the c rating the better. if you have say a 100 amp spike you need at least a battery that can deliver that ex: 5000mah 40c= 200amps 5000mah 20c= 100amps 2000mah 20c= 40 amps 2000mah 40c= 80 amps you will want somthing to be able to deliver 100 amps with a true 540 brushlees with that speed controller or it cooks that battery. -
put a 3500KV to a 4200 kv in it and trust me even on 2s it will be more than enough of both torque and top end.
-
Those lesser priced HW combos are 380 motors in a 540 size can. yes the higher the KV the less the torque when you get in the high 4700s and up you can't use 3s either unless you want to fry things. Iv'e seen 2900 KV motors geared up and they are fast don't be fooled by the KV
-
well you won't be short on power for sure i don't have a Etronix Photon Sensorless ESC but if it has the punch control like the Castle ESC's have it won't be a problem. There is no such thing as too much power! by the way the Funco looks great so far can't wait to see it all finished.
