Have you tried Tamiya clear colours? I've not tried it on lexan but on clear plastic (or white painted ABS parts) it looks good. I find you have to blob it on to get a good coverage, but as long as you mask properly, shouldn't be a prob.

Anyone know of any lenses and buckets that are available that you could install on a Brat ABS body, front and rear? They're moulded in on the hardbody (and the lexan version just has stickers) and i'd like to get some clear lenses and buckets in if possible. Cars always look much more scale with these in. I'm not a fan of stickers at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Man It's Tamiya Metallic Black with a few coats of semi gloss clear. I was going to run a bottom panel of silver chrome but it looked too deadly all black so I kept it like that. Once it's had a few dings and needs a touch up, I might spruce it up with the silver but we'll see how it goes.

Finally "finished" my Tundra build. Been a fun couple of months getting it to this point. Not really happy with the shock performance so will no doubt be ditching the Gmade Transitions for something a bit more robust. Got my Junfac 4link kit for my Tundra as well as a set of G-Transition shocks. You might notice in the pic another set of shocks. This was a whoops on the part of Junfac. They sent one set in with the 4link and another set in a seperate box!!! I only paid for one. I've dropped em a line see what they want to do about it. Could be a free set of shocks for me though!

I painted my first every shell the other week with cans. Never again! so much waste and zero control. takes ages to dry and the propellant is proper toxic. Eventually I got a decent finish, but I'll only ever use my airbrush from now on. It'll work out much cheaper and the finish will be easier to assure consistancy. Plus thinner coats will dry faster meaning less airborne fluff getting on there.

Was a bit naughty and put my half finished body on my Tundra and took it out for a spin. Was going great til I flipped it and it landed on the roof in a load of twigs. Some minor scratches, but I can buff them out before finishing off the paint... Patience is a virtue...apparently.

Well, I done a bodge on a servo arm that came with the servo (cut off three of the fins, drilled out a hole for the ball connector), dialed the steering trim right down and then worked up until the knuckles were just shy of maxing out. Turns out it was 90% so have had it at 100% was putting all the extra strain on the saver spring hence the ping. Valuable and expensive lesson there!

Hey Fellas, Question for you: I have a Tamiya Tundra which I had ALMOST completed today, build wise, I quickly assembled all the electrics and was doing a drive test around the house when PING the servo saver clip thingy went snap and flew across the room in two halves. I had tightened the screw way too much so obviously there was an issue there (idiot factor). I have installed an MKS DS1210 high torque servo for the steering, which is set up as stock (although I do have a Junfac set up on the way). So, questions... is my servo possibly steering too much and I need to adjust the max turn rate? And, most importantly, are there cheaper saver thingys available cos it's cost me £13 to get a new G parts ordered for one bit! Seems like these things would be better made out of a softish metal rather than hard plastic which snaps... Thanks in advance for helpful replies

I have a DX3C with my tundra. The aux switch is linear, 2 or 3 position (which is what you'll need). There are also 5 switches and you can assign any one of them to the aux channel.

Traxxas XL-5 ESC and 4200NiMH battery to go with my Spektrum DX3-C, Traxxas 2065 servo (gears) and MKS DS1210 (steering) which arrive a couple of days ago. All to go with my current Tundra build. Just waiting for my Ansmann 55t crawler motor and battery cups to arrive then I can carry on!

Hi, I've just ordered myself a Tundra (I know they're not super popular, but I like it!) Anyone got any suggestions for a good controller set and possible Servos? I've read a Futaba S3305 is good for stearing. The manual says to have a 4 channel transmitter.... Hmmmm any ideas and uk shoppies who might have the right stuff? Thanks in advance.
