no! but they did update the car way back in the early 80's with grey bumpers and alloy casting changes

you will find the gearbox casing dictates the motor you can fit! ive found that nearly all modern motors wont go in the casing as the are just a smidge to large in diameter,i got lucky with mine and found a prehistoric 21 double motor that just fits,it way to scary with the handleing of my rough rider,stick to 540's maybe a sport tuned if your brave!

what is this obsession that people have with way too powerful motors? just stick to 15turns as the highest you should go,then you should have no problem with wear/run time/speedo problems/handling/breaking parts etc etc.. most of the old tamiya cars were designed when the most powerful motr you could get was a technigold! yawn!!!

jamie booth won the british championchips with a topforce/mantaray,ellis stafford ran a 411x(a 4wd dyna storm?) and won afew races at top level,alan harman ran a dyna storm and did quite well,but compared to other offroad car's these days tamiya just dont have the knowhow. on road is where they are winning these days. they just never release the offroad cars the team use's which is crazy,and a shame.

im finding ebay a total loss at the minute,i put my superchamp on there twice now,ive seen them go for £120-£250 before i put mine on and during the auction i had 30+ watchers and nearly the same amount in questions regarding payment+postage and would i end early?,BUT! when the auction had finished it only made £103 with 8 bidders! dont know if its me or the car but people dont seem to be botherd anymore. what happened to the other watchers? its just weird

my mate at work has one he's trying to sell,its in good nick,shell is unpainted but some moron has put the decals on it wrong? tyres are good and all its missing is the driver/sunroof/bumper(dont they all!)and the mech cover but apart from that its a runner give us a shout if your interested.

i got one in my monster beetle,they work great,just a pain in the a£$E to adjust,they are held together with 3 screws and to get to them requires a total strip down,if you need instructions for one give us a shout

just read today in the classic ford magazine that the dvla want to ban all modified classic cars!. its all to do with the sva test when the car was released, if you replace any of the panels with fibreglass or carbon it may be banned due to the safty aspect? also roll cages are a bit of a "grey" area so they want to ban cars with them too. thats nearly all the car part shop's out of business then! i love this country[!] also the goverment want all vehicles that are parked on the drive or in storage to be insured thus all vehicle need to be mot'ed,hmmmmmm stealth tax anyone?[xx(][xx(]

when i first started watching american chopper it was so addictive,they spent 3 episodes on the build and the bikes were so special now its gone all weird. its all about snr and jnr larking about and shouting at each other,the bikes are 3/4 built before they get them there's just nothing special about them anymore,one of the bikes they built could hardly be ridden. i still watch it as theres not much eles on a monday night. pmr uk is total dross compared to the us version i saw the 1st one where they destroyed a classic moggy minor it looked a right chav mobile when they finished it! the best bit was the bling steering wheel bolted to a uncowled and rusty steering coloum! nice feature! and overhaulin is the best american programme by far the cars are to die for,chip foose is a design legend he does stuff thats so simple but it makes a huge difference. he can overhaul my car anytime he wants.

still waiting for the bike to arrive,been nearly 2 weeks since he said he'd posted it. police have been to his house where his mum was "expecting"them,said she had proof of posting but that could have been for anything!, police have said that thats all they can do seeing as they have seen the postage slip. now im playing the waiting game. thanks for all the help and emails from the tc members

rc car action magazine did a head to head with a mini t pro and a 18t team and the losi still won,ive got 3 mini t's and a 18t and i would say for general use they are the same,but on rough or loose ground the mini t is better due to the sealed gearbox. the 18t's are better indoors on carpet when racing though.
