I would have loved this if it was just a miniature version of the lunch box chassis.

It’s a lot easier and less r&d when you use someone else’s design to make your mold. These remind me of the fake lego sets.

If that is the case than what does the $300 plus more I would pay now for a Bruiser over when I bought a Bruiser and Mountain Rider thanks to the MAP get me? I always had to purchase my kits through mail order do to LHS prices and lack of support for Tamiya but I at least had the option of buying through companies in the US. I guess now Hong Kong will get my mail order business.

Thanks Mokei. I was thinking about the original 58161 when I said 58495 but that is what I found through a quick search. I remember the Chevy but I totally forgot about the Toyota.

The Ford F 150 58495 was probably one of the first trophy trucks although it wouldn't stand up to any of the ones you mentioned.

Blackfoot 2016 - CV and Driveline Issues - HELP!
RichiPuppy replied to jamescottam's topic in Re-Release Discussions
I didn't recall seeing this problem when building the kit and upon rechecking my dog bones there is no way mine would pop out like that without really reefing on the control arm. Is there some sort of difference in tolerances of parts or are the control arms getting bent some how or what is the deal here? -
1. I used rattle cans. 2. I did not sand it but I did use primer on it. So far my painted High Lift grille has held up for almost 10 year so I figured it should be fine. It may not hold up to a crash but I am guessing there would be worse repercussions. 3. And it is semi gloss.

Here is a better shot of the front, Some day I plan on getting an original grille but they seem to be hard to come by recently with people getting them for their re release..

I just finished building my 2016 Blackfoot. I decided to paint the grille black like the original because I like the look it gives. I also wanted to mention that the black grille was a factory option on the 7th gen F100/150 with the Free Wheeling option. I have seen some people posting some where that it wasn't an original thing and just wanted to correct that. Here is an ad for it in post #47. http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1014761-7th-gen-spotters-thread-4.html

I want to get one of these, and the extra holes being filled makes me want it more. The decals being changed really doesn't bother me, although it would have been nice to get the original grill.

Tamiyausa.com has a bunch of images of this for anyone interested. http://www.tamiyausa.com/items/radio-control-kits-30/trucks-36500/rc-blackfoot-2016-58633

If you mean the Tamiya lacquer paint then no you don't want to put that over enamel. If you mean the acrylic Tamiya paint that should be fine. The reason I ask is I usually associate TS as lacquer.

That could be kinda cool if they could some how pull it off with a ladder frame and 2wd.

4 years ago, and the Mountain Rider 2 years ago, hoping it's a pattern.

What tyres for an F-350 with alloys?
RichiPuppy replied to Rag-top's topic in Monster Trucks, 4x4, Wheelie Rigs and Crawlers
About 3 1/2 inches, I didn't have easy access to a ruler in metric. -

The original 1.9 rc4wd mudslingers look pretty good and are the same size as the stock tires. -
Mountaineer Re-release #84386 (Mountain Rider)
RichiPuppy replied to Wandy's topic in Re-Release Discussions
One has a sleeper cab and one has roll bar, otherwise just the decals. -

I didn't realize Stella got more of these in stock and their price came down. I got mine from Stella as well. -
Mountaineer Re-release #84386 (Mountain Rider)
RichiPuppy replied to Wandy's topic in Re-Release Discussions
Dinball on ebay has Mountain Riders for 560 nib with shipping. I have ordered small stuff from them and have been happy with their service. There is nothing like the build of a bruiser/mountaineer. -
It is much worse then that, and appears to be a problem with this particular mold. I saw the seam line but didn't actually realize that it was anything unusual until I saw this thread. You can see the seam in the back quite well in these pictures. It is the line going from the wheel well up that angles slightly forward. It actually casts a shadow or reflects light depending on the angle. The seam in the front is just as visible but it doesn't show up as well in pictures. Overall it doesn't bother me much but I could see it bothering others.

Sweet, I was wondering if someone else was going to get one of these. The only other CC-01 I have is modded to fit a blackfoot body on, and I really liked the low ride one at the toy show, so I did mine like it.

Mf-01x - suzuki jimny, mercedes g-wagen & others
RichiPuppy replied to XV Pilot's topic in General discussions
I could not tell from the picture about what the rear suspension is like, is there a bigger one that people are referring to? I assumed irs rear with the motor being in the back, would be a good setup for a 959. -

I am hoping live axle, I prefer them to have a similar setup to the 1:1. If it is wish bone in the rear I will wait for a rere 959/Celica, wishful thinking I know.
