  1. As per title, I need a Tyrrell P34 rear wing, re-re is fine must be good condition and must ship to Canada, thanks!
  2. Pretty sure I have this Erich, I'll check later today and let you know
  3. Well here in Canada getting parts for Kyoshos has always been a problem, that is not the case with Tamiya. And if you think engineering tolerances in Kyoshos are bad, search the web for the RC10 Worlds re-re, lots of problems with gearbox shafts and tolerances messed up (apparently though the Associated guys send out free replacement parts no problem). Ive yet to buy my first Kyosho re-re, and with the current canadian vs US dollar exchange the Optima re-re would cost me about 500$ which is too steep for me so will probably have to wait until Christmas. Im truly very happy that Tamiya and Kyosho continue to re-release all their classics, so bring on the Javelin and Bigwig!
  4. I have a new built Fast Attack sharkmouth I might be willing to trade but Im in Canada.....
  5. Now this is my kind of Hornet!! Anybody know what's underneath the body? Found this while browsing Youtube, apparently that car won the Kyosho offroad cup in 1986. Seems to be a lot of Kyosho in there like gold shocks, chain drive etc, but the chassis appears to be stock Hornet tub. Just wondering if anybody knows anything about it
  6. That radio looks like a clone of the Airtronics VT2P, might be easier to find and will probably work with your vintage receiver, check your crystal first to see what freq range you need (27, 75, etc). I have that radio but Im way over in Canada.
  7. You might have better luck on a Kyosho forum, or there is also a facebook group called ''kyosho vintage RC'', someone there might have what you need, lots of Optima owners there

    Shock Collars

I have plenty of Kyosho Raiders for parts, so I use their shock collars which are same color and size but different material. But if I run out of them thanks for the tip, for a runner I would def go with those
  9. Tamiya polycarbonate paint cleaner, ever since I started using that stuff I swear I will never use anything else. Safest for lexan!!
  10. I have the BT50 manual, but I have the car as well. Not sure if I want to separate them. Are you interested in buying the whole car with manual? The manual itself is mint like new. let me know your offer for just the manual or make an offer for the whole car if you are interested. It has a Tamiya black motor which I can remove and put in the stock original silvercan to lower costs. I have the 2 side mirrors they are not on car, as well as the lexan body which is new. Tires are used but in excellent shape no cracks no rot. Body has some damage but still looks good
  11. Yep, scale series Ultima, with those wheels that would be the Testarossa. Looks like you're missing the gearbox hatch cover
  12. Check it out!! http://www.kyosho.com/eng/
  13. Hi, these vintage F1 cars are not my thing so Id rather sell it. This is how it was when I got it. Body has some damage but still good condition, I have the 2 side mirrors and they will come with the car. Front bumper has scratches and stress marks. MSC is new, it came with the car when I got it but was never used. Also has a Tamiya RS-540SD black motor with red endbell in near mint condition (label is mint). Tires are used but in good condition (not cracked or rotten). Also included is the original manual in mint condition, as well as the original lexan body which I believe came with the car, the body is new and has never been painted. Asking 150$ US plus actual shipping costs, Paypal you pay the fees. Ships from Canada. The only trades I might consider are a Kyosho Ultima or Kyosho Rocky, thanks
  14. This.... I think the only Axial part left is the battery plate
  15. One of my favorite looking trucks, but I also love the Outlaw Ultima
  16. Well they also called the Triumph ''The next world champion'', and I dont think it won any major events. So that would support Mark's theory
  17. Hmm, those shocks sure look like the ones that came with Ultima 2 and Outlaw Ultima, and those leak like crazy. Unless Kyosho made a revised version of these that I have not seen so far. How does the O-ring fit in the shock body, as you cant unscrew or dissamble the bottom part? As for the steering, it definately isnt the best out there even by vintage standards. On my kid's cars when one of the front wheel gets an impact the steering rod goes right through the servo saver and gets stuck there. I have been thinking of replacing the steering setup with something like a Kimbrough heavy duty servo saver and some proper steering links and ball ends, Ill let you know how this goes as I'll try to work on this during the weekend Here's one more upgrade I recommend: replace the brass pinion with a steel one as it will wear out eventually Here's some of my Raiders, you can see the different variants. First is Turbo Raider which came with gold shocks, bearings on the diff (on the diff only, what a joke!!), Outlaw stock motor, and upgraded Ultima orange wheels. Second is the Raider Pro, a later varaint of the Raider series. Different body and decals, wing is on plastic wing mount screwed on different rear shock tower. New wheels and tires, but the front tires are the same as the original Raider. Suspension parts are now held using screw pins rather than hinge pins held by those tiny hex screws, they tend to unscrew by themselves because of the vibrations. The 2 red ones are first gen Raider and a Raider Pro, those are the ones that my kids bash, back one has Proline wheels, gold shocks, full ball bearings and it drives great!
  18. re-re monster beetle, easy to find now
  19. My kids drive 2 Raider runners, and they run them HARD!! The shock bodies do crack after some abuse as you've seen, the replacement shocks you are using will leak badly after some runs because there is no seal at the bottom of the shock body, the rod simply goes through the plastic. Almost any modern shock will fit to replace them should you choose to. Kyosho gold shocks look awesome and fit perfect but they are expensive nowadays, they came stock on the Turbo Raider. Weak point is those dogbones with the plastic midsection, the plastic part cracks and the dogbone breaks in half. Cheapest solution to this is to get OT6 dogbones from the vintage Ultima/Optima series since they are all steel, cheap and easy to find on ebay. I think your Tracker might have them too, check to see if they are same lenght Gearbox has many gears, ball bearings make a big difference in performance and run times on this model. Gearbox is apparantly weak especially with hotter motors but Ive never had any issues with mine despite all the abuse, Im using the stock 540 motor. The rear orange wheels you painted white came with the Turbo Raider and use a much more common tire size. Ultima, Optima and Lazer also used different colors of this wheel. And that rear wing came from the Raider Pro. Raider is pretty unique as it is 2WD with mid mounted motor, handles a lot better than other beginner's buggies from that era. Looks awesome in blue, will have to try that when my kids bodies wear out All references to repo decals, bodies etc is banned btw
  20. When I saw your post I went on ebay to see what the current prices were for the bodyset, last few times I went there were none or the ones that were there were too expensive. Spotted this, cant go wrong for that price, just ordered one for myself!! http://www.ebay.com/itm/141843600164?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  21. Thanks Mokei!! Found the following: ABC hobbies 300ZX, the one I want is the 1990 to 1996 model, not a fan of the body kit but it will do fine, kit #66018 HPI Diablo body #7099, discontinued, and width is 200mm but I have a Kyosho pureten which is 198mm, will have to check to see if it fits Pandora makes a 200mm Mitsubishi GTO (is that what the 3000GT is called overseas?), never heard of Pandora but will give it a try Thanks Theibault, Countach bodyset does look awesome indeed, and coming from Tamiya I know it fits perfect and will be well detailed, this will be next in line! Glad to see I'm not the only one who likes the 928 Erich!
  22. I've always been a real car guy ever since I was a kid. I've always loved sports cars especially the ones from japan, but also like some more exotic cars as well. I have a fleet of TT-01s and TL-01s that me and my 3 boys run, but they have some horrible beat up basher bodies which is fine for running but when the cars are parked on the shelf they look horrbile. So I thought hey, why not get some cool bodies and wheels for the shelf and keep the basher bodies for running. So for Xmas I got the Tamiya RX7 body, this was an easy choice as Ive always loved the RX7 and own one. So off I went to my local hobby shop for paint and I started looking at some bodies and found a Toyota MR2 by ABC hobbies!! So the hunt for more bodies begins! Now some bodies Id like to get are pretty easy to find, such as the Porsche 911 or Toyota Supra, but others Id like to get are a lot harder, in fact Im not sure they exist. Maybe you guys can help if you know who makes it and where to find them. Some of the bodies Id like to get in 1/10 scale and 190mm: Mitsubishi 3000GT, also sold in America as the Dodge Stealth Lotus Esprit, any year Corvette C4, I think the years are 1984 to 1996 Nissan 300ZX, Tamiya has the race version of this but I want the roadgoing stock version, Kyosho makes one in the super scale series but the body is more like 1/9 Porsche 928, I dont care what you think of it... I love this car loll Acura NSX, Tamiya makes one but I think its for the TA02?? Does this fit on TT-01? Lamborghini Diablo, Kyosho also has this but in 1/9 Lamborghini Countach Porsche 959 in 1/10? Ferrari Testarossa, Daytona? So here are the ones I have so far, yellow RX7 is on TL01, MR2 is on TT01 and silver RX7 is stock M06, still have to trim those body posts...
  23. Dont't forget the Kyosho scale series, all Ultima based so there's another 5 or 6 cars. And there's also the Outrage which was a beginner's Ultima. But I do so love the Ultima series!
  24. Go over to the dark side and mod the crap outta that thing!!
  25. Finish off all my project cars I have lying all over the place...
