I have the vast majority of the parts to be able to build a 2wd wild dagger the only exception is the front end. If anyone has the front end parts to carry the bottom arms etc please let me know. Cheers Andy

Looks pretty good quality on first inspection. Water proof for 45 quid delivered is a bargain. I wanted the 3520k to be safe but ordered the full fat 4250. I may have to order an adjustable motor mount and new pinion gear it down a tad. I have already replaced the madbull wheels with hpi rush items which are abit smaller but I still fear it may be a little too hot .

Well I finally took the plunge and got a turnigy trackstar combo. Only problem was I muffed up and got the 4250k by mistake. Is this motor gonna roast itself with stock gearing ?

Noob question (plugs on the ESC/Battery)
dyahipfakta replied to StuartUK's topic in All things electric...
In my opinion making a simple adapter won't make any significant difference to the way that the system works. I have done this afew times and I notice no significant detriment with silver cans etc. Only added bonus is if you decided to sell the esc and upgrade at a later date an unmolested one will sell easier. -
I have one of these bundles the 3520k 4 pole one to drop into my madbull. Will let you know how it goes

I'm a professional got a degree and a job and everything so all mine are professional builds. I'm a medical scientist but that still counts right -
Blackfoot motorhome project - TT01 or TL01 base?
dyahipfakta replied to XV Pilot's topic in General discussions
I say this on every tl01 offroading build so sorry if it gets full but I recommend swapping the front bumper out for the one off the tl01b as the chassis is abit exposed at the front with the touring car item. -

Tl01 all day high turns are a good option but I find can easily be stalled a permanent geared option would e better -
I think I got a bag of like 50 10uf caps for like £1.50 from maplin or cpc. I have 3 of them on a 18v dewalt motor in my emaxx and that is much better then without. That motor is very noisy though so range isn't as far as it used to be on the stock motors

You sure they not internal. I have seen this with drill motors but not rc silver cans.

apart from tamiya what are your other favorite manufactures
dyahipfakta replied to vrs55's topic in General discussions
I only have tamiya and an emaxx I like the emaxx just because of the bulk of the thing. My favorite of mine is by far my mad bull which ironically was my first too. -
Thanks for the input guys I have only used 2 sets in a very long time so its not a huge issue. I am just going brushless with it in the near future if there was anything long term. The wheel nuts I have seem ok but thread lock for extra security sounds a wise investment.

A quick question to ask if anyone has converted a Dt01 to pin hex rather then the rubbish splined hexes that wear out. Are there any suitable parts available or has anyone successfully drilled the stock one. Regards Andy

Good film but don't go into it expecting it to be scientifically accurate. If you do you will be annoyed lol
-
I made some exhaust stacks for mine out of sawn up old radio antenna only problem was 17t and lipo means its abit prone to falling over lol.

Yeah in the desert for sure with massive v8 in the back with huge blower and vertical manifolds.

ATX Power Supply for Charger 12v - Problem
dyahipfakta replied to TWINSET's topic in All things electric...
You should be able to combine the 2 12 volt rails with no problem and will hopefully stop your overload issue. I have done this hack before on a generic 200w power supply with no issues at all. -
Lol I woulda had that too! Good score there always been a fan of the manta

Seems more than reasonable in my opinion. Do you not own a mobile phone or have a webcam on your computer?

Traxxas emaxx esc is a good option look at your esc specs for what it can handle in terms of voltage. -

I personally think you won't notice a significant difference between 14.4 Nimh and a 3s lipo. I thinks it's the ideal solution. Having said that I ran my titans on 4s and newer emaxxs can run on 5s that is assuming you are referring to 23t titans not 12t I can't speak for those
