  1. Yep I had the exact same issue. Here are the leftover decals from a Saint Dragon I just finished with TBG body and MCI decals...
  2. You've had a few Pebbles? I use iPhones and I love my Pebbles. They've had always-on screens and 6-9 day battery life for 6 years. They are great smartwatches, for use as watches first and apps etc second - but that's what I want. You can get the top-of-the-line ones for under US$100 and have a collection for less than you'd pay for an Apple or Samsung, etc watch. Plus, you can develop your own apps and watchfaces easily, if you can't find what you want among the hundreds of apps and watchfaces already available. Here are some of my favorite nerdy watchfaces...
  3. Do it! Just remember these are for enthusiasts at this point (like vintage Tamiya, etc). The company is gone and support is community-based. If you get one, join this Sub-Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/pebble/
  4. I love the body set boxes! IMO it imparts due value to what's inside. These days with modern or re-re bodies and decals it's all no fuss, plain plastic bags. It's like how the old kits had nice inserts and artwork etc. The new kits are just plain boxes inside. The old style seems much more worth-while. If you're going to go full in the other direction why even have box art on kits at all? Just sell them in all mixed up in a big plastic bag, lol.
  5. This one isn't Tamiya but it's pretty sweet and vintage in like-new condition: https://www.ebay.com/itm/333365913043
  6. Hi all I've listed on ebay one of my project Bigwigs that was intended as a runner but I just replaced the chassis, bumper, skid plate, etc with all NOS parts and couldn't see actually running it. It's a good base for a complete resto. Have a look if interested: https://www.ebay.com/itm/333365147312
  7. I don't have a spare set currently, but I will be posting a whole used F150 XLT on ebay soon with pretty decent windows. Not sure you'd be after a second one though!
  8. It's nice that we can now mention MCI decals and TBG bodies on this forum. Years ago this was verboten. I still do try to use vintage original bodies and decals most of the time but definitely like having TBG and MCI available as options/resources. Nice Terra Scorcher resto BTW. I love that buggy.
  9. In addition to collecting Tamiya/Kyosho/etc I also collect (i) Pebble watches, (ii) Thinkpad laptops, and (iii) old Apple iMacs/Powerbooks/Macbooks/etc. Is anyone else here into Pebble watches? They are pretty nerdy and cool and hackable so I'd guess someone else here is a fan besides just me. Am attaching a recent pic of my collection.
  10. Hey, nice - would you be willing to let one go for $ or trade?
  11. It doesn't seem like the kind or part people might have spare either. ** grumble, grumble **
  12. Hi guys - I'm missing a single cam lock that holds the top of an SRB radio box in place. I know these are available for the re-releases but I need a vintage one. Does anyone know whether Tamiya ever offered these as spare parts? Thanks
  13. My neighbor had some vintage R/C aging in his basement and he recently passed away. I'm helping his wife sell some of his models (aside from the 959, which I'm keeping). Have a look at the Ebay auctions - will be adding more over the next days. Currently there are a couple Kyoshos, a Holiday Buggy body, and a Panda nitro truck. Among the items not yet listed are an original SRB F150 Ranger and a Kyosho Blizzard. In addition there are a ton of vintage static models. p.s. - It's been a while but I'll be back on Tamiyaclub again + it's nice to 'see' you guys! https://www.ebay.com/itm/Kyosho-Optima-Vintage-1985-Good-Condition-See-Pictures/333356896783 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Tamiya-Holiday-Buggy-Body-Original-Vintage-1980-See-Pictures/333356936054 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Kyosho-Double-Dare-4WD-4x4x4-Dual-Motor-Vintage-1988-New-Built-Never-Run/333358974329 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Panda-Pickup-Race-Truck-Vintage-1993-Nitro-Glow-Manual-Box-Top-Included/333359008411
  14. Hey @mongoose1983, @NWarty, et al... yeah @chickenman242tk is right I've been held in a choke hold by work for a little while (that part is a joke). I'm still working to get back on my feet though, make good on my responsibilities to some of you, and generally have a life again soon. Hopefully soon means actually soon... I'm doing my best.
  15. Hey @mongoose1983 this looks great! I haven't even logged onto the board in months b/c of non-stop work pressure... but am working my way back to 'normal'. I'm not sure if you remember but I actually have a bunch of stuff of yours sitting in my den waiting the lifespan of the average gerbil so far for me to send it down to you. I'm going to try to do something about that soon. :‑/
  16. LOL just mute the new video and play this one in the background. Corny voice-over achieved!
  17. Everyone at Tamiya is like "Oh I thought Carl was taking care of that." and Carl's like "Wait, what? I've been huffing a little too much PS-1 lately. My bad."
  18. So you're having trouble using the CVDs with the MIP diff? @Pintopower have you had any issues with the CVDs? Originally I thought you said to get the dogbones but in one of the vids you said the CVDs so that's what I just got to use with my MIP diff. I'm happy with either so long as it works well. ps Pintopower = AMPro
  19. Hi there - I do still have extras of all of these items I think. I can PM you pics of what I have later if you like?
  20. Awesome pics! One question - does it have the little lexan side vent pieces for the body?

  22. Looks like they're using a pic of the original issue model temporarily.
