-=Jeff=- replied to Jpmdly's topic in Monster Trucks, 4x4, Wheelie Rigs and Crawlers
changed up the Clod-Hunter. Wide stance and dropped the body down as far as I could.. need to get a new lower Diff bumper/Skid plate -

@Badcrumble Thanks, Pink one is my Daughter's, Yellow is my Son's I bought these 8 or 9 years ago. My son is not really into it anymore I don't think, he prefers his drone. The Yellow wheels are from a Blackfoot I believe. 2 of the Chassis are Blackfoot that I converted to 4WD. I still have the front dummy boxes from them if I ever decide to go to 2WD. I wanted to Lock the Diffs in the rear and use them in the snow, but never got around to it. When I was a kid i had a Clodbuster I ended up selling in my 20's (should have kept it) as it was the Original. Anyway, I have recently purchased a p407 and have gotten these out, specifically the Clod-Hunter.. I am going back to the wide stance as narrow stance it not quite what I was after. I will still use the Wild Willy Wheels and lower the body.. I will take picture of the truck when done. I also need to get a set of LEDs for the Headlights of the Clod Body and light those up with the Roll bar. -

I have 3 of these.. all are dual motor all have ball bearings through out - One is a stock dual hunter - One has a Proline VW Beetle body with Traxxas XL5 ESC - One is currently a narrow track with Wild Willy Wheels, Traxxas XL5 ESC , shocks from a Traxxas ( I forget the model)and Clodbuster body -
I have the same question. I purchased the p407a as I always wanted the Bruiser as a kid but I am not that into RC that I want to spend a huge amount for a truck that will get some use and be modified. I have a Flysky GT3B That I will put the hack firmware on, but would like to find out how to setup the 3rd channel to control the 3 speeds

WOW!!!!! That is just awesome.. where can I get a set. Very impressive work you have done -
I have 2 of those 2WD front boxes... My son has a Dual Hunter, my truck is a Blackfoot converted to 4wd, and my daughter has a Blackfoot with a Parma Beetle body tisll in process of going to 4wd. We like using them in the snow and I have found the 4wd helps for this. I need to finish her car up so we can run them all again.. Mine is setup like the Amarok with narrow swing arms and WW2 tires..

1) Yes I think they are E-MAxx ( I know they are traxxas) They seem to work well for me 2) I don't recall, when I bought them there were a few variations in them, I need to check.. I did not think the ones I have were timed differently -

I have black can motors on mine and a Traxxas xl5 ESC I have to ask what parts tree does the lower front nerf bar come on in your kit? I want that for my truck -

yes the arms are the Blackfoot/Dualhunter/Twin Detonator.. Yours are from another WT style kit but shorter.. I have installed the short ones on my Blackfoot kit as I wanted to draw the wheels inward.. I also installed Wild Willys 2 wheels -
Scale crawler on a budget

Well if they are traveling through the Northeast they have about 100 inches of snow or close to it.. that has delayed much of the package delivery -

been wanted to do the same.. build a scale crawler, but i don't wheel the RC I have now too much so it is a tough for me to decide to purchase an SCX-10. I want to use my Clod body on it though.. -
My 4x4 Blackfoot sees daylight
-=Jeff=- replied to -=Jeff=-'s topic in Monster Trucks, 4x4, Wheelie Rigs and Crawlers
Thinking about going back to the wider stance on the truck, I like the narrow look and was trying to get it to look like a scaler, but I think if I went back to the wider look I can drop the body a bit and keep the Wild Willy Tires -
I think I found the Tires: http://cenracing.shptron.com/p/ff035-monster-truck-tires referenced in this thread on RCMT http://www.rcmt.net/forums/showthread.php?160391-Bigfoot-Wheelie-King-Update

Yeah, but I don't like the molded blower on the parma lexan body.. I might get a grave digger or something that is old but cool -

Yes they do.. I also need to find another body, either a second clod body or a parma body, I like the 53 ford pick up but the wheel base is too short.. -

The tires/wheels combo are 2 sets of rears from a Wild Willy 2 ( more recent version) That are smaller in diameter than the original Blackfoot wheels but I like them better with the narrow stance as well
