I have only driven it that one time. I don't have a lot of friends that have RC to go mess with it. I still need to fix the reverse speed and pull the plow off to try it out more. I still need better tires too..

Oh Yeah, build is at a still still again, I need warm days to paint the interior. Decided to go with tan instead of black..

Wow! That's impressive. I think Ampro has several light reviews on his youtube channel. Did I already mention that?
Yes, this was one he suggested which would be fine for the Toyota which splits the brake and turn. the blazer the turn/brake or combined. I think I will still end up with the DIY one as it sounds like it should do what I need

I think in theory it would work, however i am guessing the issues will be the shocks and drive shafts

So I was wiring the LED kit I got : https://www.ebay.com/itm/324817321838?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2648
It would be fine for the Toyota but not my Blazer. I will need to find a different controller or build the DIY One I found. The DIY gives me options, but limited on Channels/ Outputs. here is what I would like in a controller:
Lights:
- Reverse Lights (2 LEDs)
- Stop /Turn (2 LEDS)
- Front turn (4 LEDS)
- Headlights (2 LED)
- Fog lights/ Aux Lights
I would like some different modes too..
Right now, the Headlights can be on always or on moving forward
I can have brake lights OR Turn signals in back ( there is no Combo)
No Options for parking lights
I also burned up the Shifting Servo, not sure how yet but I did. So have another coming..
Getting closer.
I have a crappy Plow mount but need to improve that, it will be my next task.
here is a video of the plow functions, I wanted variable adjust side to side

Clear coat being applied and bought a couple things:
LED Light controller ( Based off an Ampro video) seems to have most opf what I want
Also a snow plow, has the functions I want, just need to get the mount figured out

Not really but that seems to have all the functions I want. Unless there is another solution that gives me the function of parking lights (no headlights) then parking with headlights and also no lights, like a real car. I could also program hazards too..
end of the day I like the the DIY stuff too

Looks great! Now that the weather is cooler here...mid 70s (24 C), I can be outside to do some painting too. Do you have any plans to add some LEDs? I've been checking out the cheap-o LED kits for some basic lighting. It's a clone so I'm not really wanting to add a Tamiya light set.
I m thinking of this for the LEDs

Nope never thought of that.. I will check it out

What is suggested to carpet. I would like to attempt to detail the interior instead of painting everything the interior color. Originally was thinking black but now wondering if tan/caramel color might be better
-
Yes going to do something. I saw there is a light kit for the blazer I will probably buy that one
all I know is this is a longer term project.. LOL. Took almost a year to paint it. I also need to do the interior

Truck is finally getting some attention, all
the molding seams have been sanded and I need to go over everything and get ready to spray some paint. The back lid will be satin black. Main body I am hoping for a candy red. Bit humid to paint yet but hope to be done in the next couple of months. I still need a lighting kit for it and some better tires. Slowly getting there

Starting to warm up here. Need to test out some paint I have on the plastic. I need to clearance the hood and clean up some flashing and then I can paint

No updates.. life and work have gotten in the way, however it is starting to warm up here, soo I am hoping to pick out some paint for this rig

I grew up and still live in the Chicago area and knew of that truck. That said, it was in one of the monster truck VHS videos I had growing up in the 80’s😅
Same here.. I remember going to Rosemont Horizon ( Now Allstate Arena) for a Monster Truck Jam ..
I remember the Michigan Ice Monster as well as many of the others I have seen built on here
