Good point, so the WR02G uses hex type up front like the WT/WR01 as opposed to the bearing mad bull/lunchbox wheels the regular WR02 uses. I didn't know that. And the wheels are smaller than mad bull type? Here's my regular WR02 Cheers Nito

Snow! You might want to put your receiver and esc in a baloon, not a lot of protection against the elements on this chassis;

I just noticed, the Amarok Wt01N is sporting Bruiser tyres!

Just looking at your ride height measurements I think you'll be fine at 55mm ride height. Mine with 103mm shocks was 60-65mm ride height which made it barrel roll, you could be ok. Have you measured those shocks eye to eye to see if they come up at 100mm or shorter?

Lol, I bought a TA03 ball diff thinking it would fit a WT01 and I don't think it does!! In the end I put heavy duty grease in the stock diff and it has been fine!

Differences and detailed write up on WT01/WR01 here; http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/topic/160586-tamiya-wt01-wr01-monster-truck-build/ Basically M38 is the original Wild Willy vintage chassis, I don't have a lot of experience with that. WR01 is a twin motor 4wd described in the link above, WT01 is the rwd variant of that same chassis. Then there is the WT01N which is a WT01 with narrower wishbones to bring the wheels closer to the body. The WR02 is a rwd swb chassis with a similar ethos to the WR/WT01 chassis, but the battery mounts longitudinally instead of transversely. WR02G is the same chassis with WT/WR01 taller rear wheels (ie tamiya tractor thing), WR02C is the new Willy's Wheeler Honda, same chassis but with the smaller wheels.

About the same offset, they look really good actually and a bit fatter. I took some pics which I'll upload later, have a ton of stuff I need to do first so just snuck off to swap the wheels on and quickly post this!!

This arrived yesterday to keep the Bruiser company...

Bearing front/Hex rear. So you would need two rears. I'll try to remember to check the offset tonight! Cheers Nito

You could use the WR02 gold wheels with the hop up soft spike tyres http://www.rcmart.com/tamiya-54603-wr02-monster-spike-tires-soft-p-58163.html?cPath=595_744_1656 That's probably what I would do short term. There are sellers on ebay for those tyres. They are smaller diameter than the WT01 tyres, but it would be different. I'll need to look at the offset on my WW2, as you say the WT01 hex has a very shallow offset, it's right on the inside edge pushing the wheels out. If you go the other way you'll make it more unstable on turns. Cheers Nito

That looks great in Monster Beetle guise. Congrats! The longer shocks and towers are so much better without a doubt. I think I had to reduce the height on mine at the front though as too much roll with 100mm up front from memory. Only one way to find out, you'll have to report back! Looks superb though, definately needs gold lol. Send it to those people that do mobile phones lol!!

I see the brushless motors are there. Interested in these when they hit our shores, if they do!

Wasn't the Taisan the only bodyshell to use that chassis? Nice to see the TA02 return albeit the swb, I like the TA02's and really like the TA03F chassis! Nice honest chassis!!

The Nismo Z Tune R34...what on earth are those wheels they put on!!!! should have been some black Nismo 5 spoke rims, looks cack with chrome nonsense on it. Agree with Bromvw at the moment, but I'm pleased about the Wheeler So I'm holding my breath for... Bigwig Original 3sp Hilux

Someone restrain IBIFTKH!!!

How about the cartoon Tamiya boy with the pistol in his hand, whatever his name is? Or how about the Falcon insignia, heck and maybe the Hornet 'hornet insignia' and the hopper, and the frog lol. Think I'll stop there. Maybe just get Vanessa!

I have put all mine in a rubber balloon!

Agree with Wandy. It wouldn't be hard to adapt the new bruiser parts to make up a re re kit. I'd be interested in one and I'm sure there are a load of scaler folk who would prefer it to a Bruiser! Bring it on Mr.T!!

New Tamiya parts stocked today, and restock kits and parts

Great price on the Bruiser!!! -
Lol, I'd like to see The Bigwig first and foremost, 959 and Hotshot II would be good.

I have the individual black handled type and they are great. Had mine for like 20+ years and only just replaced it now as it was getting a little worn. Quality is superb, for a fiver you can't go wrong. Here's my replacement type, this does virtually all the screws, the smaller size is for things like servo screws and the like, I have other screwdrivers for those. I do have a flat head Tamiya one too which is rarely used. This large type 2 is the must one to have. I don't know about these new kits, seen them, they look nice but I'm used to the feel in the hand of the traditional type. Seems more timeless than faffing about swapping handles. Cheers Nito
