  1. I know the tt-02 is an entry level kit but it does represent value for money. Fortunately I have a spare prop shaft/cups, metal motor mount and aluminium steering system with turnbuckles so I could just install them into a tt-02d. Steve.
  2. Surely it's down to Banzai what they want to charge. It's no different to supermarkets in the UK. Steve.
  3. What led light system did you order. Steve.
  4. For just over £100 which is what I'm looking at paying for a tamiya 58604 (tt-02d nissan skyline) there's not that much out there for that money. Steve.
  5. Hi all the reason I was considering a second tt-02 was so my son and I could do some car park drifting together. I recently sold a tt-01 drift chassis to free up some funds so I could purchase a second road/drift car. I prefer the tt-02 over the tt-01 as it sems sturdier and accepts my Turnigy harcase lipo packs. By unlocking the rear diff and changing the drift wheels to on road slicks I though I'd have the best of both world. What would be my other optiona on a low budget. I've had a look outside of Tamiya (cringe) at some RTR models. The FTX Banzai seems good value for money but the esc doesnt support lipos. I've also looked at HPI and their SPRINT looks excellent but it's over my budget. Steve.
  6. Hi I saw this chassis on Fusion's website. I see they won't be available until September. Steve.
  7. Hi all looking for some inspiration I currently have a TT-02D Nismo Coppermix with all the essential hop ups (alu prop shaft/cups, alu motor mount and alu steering system with turnbuckles. I'm looking to purchase a second TT-02 and can't decide whether to get a second TT-02D or the TT-02R version. I have a couple of spare bodies and hop ups to fit to a drift version as above but was wondering if it would be worth going for the 'R' spec. I'm drawn to another drift spec (58604 Nissan Skyline GT-R 33) as it comes with a body and esc for £20 more than the buying a drift chassis on its own. On the other side the 'R' spec comes with a couple of nice hop ups (high speed gear set and metal dog bones) but no esc and only a torque tuned motor. I don't race as I'm just a car park basher. Your thoughts/comments would be appreciated. Tanks Steve.
  8. I placed a substantial TT-02 parts order (split over a number of orders using SAL) last night and everything was in stock and I've had conformation of despatch. Their prices are unreal. Steve.
  9. I hope you get the issues sorted because the TT-02B is a decent runner/basher. To increase the ground clearance on mine I fitted DF-03 wheels and tyres and a set of DF-03MS dampers. Steve.
  10. Hi all I have a new built/refurbished tt-01d type E Chassis on ebay. Listing number: 252017682621. Always happy to deal with TC members. Steve UK.
  11. I order a lot of small bits from Banzai and always chose SAL. I've never had a lost order thankfully. I ordered a df03ms kit and that got pulled as I chose the tracked option but I don't think Banzai can ship anything that size via SAL.
  12. Hi as per title vintage NIP front 4wd spike tyres on ebay. Listing number: 252010306537 Also 2WD Front Tyres, wheels and foam inserts. Listing number: 252010363813 Always happy to deal with TC members. Steve ( UK ).
  13. 2WD will be quicker than 4WD with the same motor fitted. It will also be more maneuverable but less grip being 2WD. Go for DT-03 Neo Fighter Buggy you won't be dissapointed. Steve.
  14. I have both the dt-02 and the dt-03 and they are sound 2WD buggies. There are also plenty of cheap hop ups available from HK. The dt-03 is cheaper to buy than the older dt-02 's and use the same gear box. I run a 20 turn brushed motor with 2s lipos. The only thing to watch out for when using fast motors is the motor temperature. The motor is almost entirely enclosed in the gearbox but a heat sink fixes the problem or just cut away part of the gear box housing. Steve.
  15. I'm going to fit the yeah diff locker in my tt-02. It's already fitted with a hpi Saturn 20 turn brushed motor and I use 2s lipos. If needed be I have a 15 turn firebolt brushed motor I could fit if needed be. Front one way units are pretty cheap from Banzai. Steve.
  16. Can anyone recommend a fast reacting servo without a big price tag. I usually use Acoms AS-17 servos for steering in my RC's but I'm looking for something a bit quicker/faster reacting that won't break the bank. Steve (UK).
  17. Don't the washing up liquid affect the adhesive in any way?
  18. Hi I'm just about to ally decals to my new nismo coppermix silvia and was wondering what is the easiest way. In the past I've got in a right pickle by having to apply and then take the decals back off to get them in the right position. Help needed Steve.
  19. Hi my friend thanks for the info. I'm currently running a tt-02d fitted with drift tech wheels & Tyres and standard diff set up. I've bought a yeah diff locker and was wondering if it was worth fitting. Steve.
  20. Is locking the rear diff essential to drifting and what is the theory/science behind it. Steve.
  21. Cheers for that. I didn't want to use normal silver and that's why I'm considering metallic silver or even gun metal. For the spoiler and wing mirrors I'm just going to use XF black as per the instructions. Steve.
  22. Today Nismo Silvia Coppermix body set for my TT-02D and a Hobbyking scale led set. For just over £11 delivered from Hobbyking UK they are fully functional (indicators, brake lights, reverse lights and full beam) and all controlled via the TX. Steve.
  23. Hi all just a quick question when using metallic PS Sprays do you have to back it up with black to get the metallic effect. I'm just about to spray a Nismo Coppermix Silvia and I'm looking to use a metallic silver instead of the suggested PS-12 silver. Thanks Steve.
  24. Hi I was looking at those on ebay and was suprised at the price with them having the tamiya logo. Let us know how you get on with them. Steve.
