  1. All done I went for BMW cosmoss black for the hard plastic bits
  2. Ive been told anything 190mm should fit.. you will need to drill holes to fit your chassis
  3. well, the stuff ive ordered is made by Pactra - metalic black in colour.. It would appear they do pots of it, tho ill have to find out if its polycarb or other. else ill see what car colours i can get - that usually covers hard plastic really well
  4. Might be a silly question…. But will the Polycarbonate body paint make a good job of painting the hard plastic bits of the shell (i.e. wing mirror and spoiler)? Reason being, ive recently bought an Escort Cossie shell, being rare I want to make a good job of it Thanks
  5. hm do you? Im running a 15 turn motor with a 23T pinion gear, Ive only had one run with it so far - acceleration wasnt that good, but top speed was great
  6. Quote : He ment the 'Protech Mega Peak 3000', which is actually the name of the charger - the '3000' has nothing to do with the battery pack in this case. : Quote Yep I ment the charger not the packs AND I have replaced the air bag fuse - dont worry it didnt fire and wouldnt have []
  7. While im waiting for my charger to be returned... can I charge my 2100mha or 2400 mha packs on my old charger. Its rated to charge 1400mha packs. Its got a 30mins timer, so ill have to monitor the temp as they charge so i can tell when the battery is full... but will it work? either on trickle or fast charge. Thanks
  8. You have an e-mail []
  9. id be interested in a plan and parts list!
  10. looks like i got a duff one then. It did get rather hot and smell when it was charging [8)] Ill see how I go with its replacement
  11. Ive just tested it with the air bag fuse out me car (luckily 7.5amp too). Still no joy. Ill send it back tomorrow Thanks anyway!
  12. on another note... is there anything i can do to increase my cooling. Ive seen a few motor heatsinks available but none for my TL01. Does anyone know of a heatsink that will fit a TL01 chassis. Thanks again!
  13. I've been in touch with the supplier and they are going to send me a replacement once ive returned this one [8D]
  14. sorry forgot to say im using Nicad packs... looks like its broke then []
  15. I recently ordered a Protech Maga Peak 3000 and a twin pack of 2100mha batteries. On receipt of the batteries I charged them on trickle charge for the first 2 cycles (allowing the charger and battery to cool between each charge). During the week I cycled the battery packs on fast charge a couple of times without a problem (however, the running times were not much longer than my 14000mha pack). When I came to charge the battery packs this afternoon I plugged in as per the manual and left the battery fast charging. After the pack had been on for approx 15mins the charger began beeping as if the pack had peaked. On checking the battery it was still cold (not the normal small heat build up u get at the end of a charge). Being unsure on the status of the battery I allowed the charger to cool down before attempting to charge my second battery. After connecting the battery pack I began fast charging this time keeping an eye on the time and checking the temperature of the battery pack every few mins (to ensure the battery was not over charging). After approximately an hour and a half the battery pack had not peaked. At this point I became concerned and disconnected the charger. I ran my car with the two battery packs to try and ascertain their state. I found both to have very little charge in them. I can only assume my charger has developed a fault am i right...
