  1. i have an original one. Used and decals are not good anymore but in decent shape - no cracks. i do not have a wing.
  2. Great work! The Sand Rover was the first Tamiya car i ever bought 2nd hand off a friend. I regret that i don't have it anymore.
  3. I do have front and rear madcap dish wheels but the are not in "new" condition. If you are interested, i can send you some pics. Let me know, Dominique
  4. Thanks for that! I am still puzzled about the 6v connector as it doesn't seem to have been installed afterwards. In any case, i will leave it on. I have no intention of powering this one up after the restoration.
  5. I immediately have a couple of questions for the experts on my most recent acquisition: 1. this version is equipped with a 6v connector instead of a 7.4v connector. Was that standard? 2. The tie rod guards are not standard as in the original fox manual but are extended to the front and have a ball connector facing front which you can see on the 3rd picture. Does this mean it was equipped with a front stabiliser? If so, does anyone know which version/brand? I can make a close up of the area if needed.
  6. As i was on vacation i only managed to pick up the parcel today. All looks in pretty good condition except for the 2 body stays that seem to have been fixed and unfortunately the FRP rear damper support also has been fixed with some type of glue. The body is actually in pretty good condition with no cracks at all and also the decals. If it wasn't for the fact that it was poorly trimmed, i would consider stripping the paint and repaint it. It will be a challenge to find a new original body and decals so i might still do it. As this will be a shelfer, i will keep all original including the MSC and resistors. Enough said...here the pics.
  7. I need some guidance on a possible purchase. I can buy an original fox for a fair price. It fits in my vintage collection but i never paid too much attention to The Fox or it's role in the Tamiya vintage buggy range. Is it worth adding to the collection? some insights on why would be great. Cheers, DD
  8. In fact. I may also have an original rear diveshaft.
  9. Bart, i may have some originals E2 and E3 pairs. I will check tonight.
  10. Impressive!!! I have all of those except the Dyna-Run but not NIB. I do have a soft spot for Tamiya motors though. I do still have a Transpeed MS NIB which i actually wanted to mount in a TA05v.II but never got to it and put a blue Acto power formula motor in it instead.
  11. At least you've got the white original wheels. Looking for those now for a couple of years already but still not giving up
  12. i actually never thought about it. I stepped in the hobby for fun and i am still collecting for fun, and only models that i really like. I guess the Transspeed MS motor will be quite rare and the front and rear You-G shocks on my Hornet might also be it still doesn't have any importance. I am very fond of each model i restored to it's original grace and i still enjoy watching them every day.
  13. Time to revive this thread! I haven't had much time lately but winter is coming, no more business travel coming up for the remainder of the year, so a good time to start my king cab restoration project. Still looking for the same stuff. Anybody?
  14. Max, i may have several of the parts listed above. If you don't mind me taking a couple of days checking out my stash - i will get back to you. Dominique
  15. Great pics! I am a huge TA04 fan! Mine is also a continuous work in progress. Currently hunting for the front and rear aluminum ball diff pulleys. Here is a link to MINE
  16. Preferably yes. Yes sir. It is brand new in the box. I got to be honest, i never thought of not using it or selling it. I do collect motors but only to mount them in my shelfers. In this case, i don't have a shelfer so i thought of actually putting it in a runner Now that it is becoming clear to me that i can't use it without spending a decent amount of cash i may keep it in the box and use the Acto Formula instead combined with the TEU302BK. I don't know if this is a decent combination for a TA05 but we will find out
  17. i am bumping this topic because i still don't know which would be a good ESC for the Transpeed 10T. Summer is coming and i don't have a runner anymore as all my restorations ended up as shelf queens so i have this Ta5 ver.II now that i want to get ready to roll. It will have a fast savox servo and the Transpeed MS built in. I only need a decent ESC. I do have a spare TEU302BK but it seems this only goes until 17T so not much i can do here. In the interim i do also have a Acto power formula which might do the trick but still, i want to build in the Transpeed at some point in time and make this a mean machine. Please help!
  18. I am assuming you are located on the US, right?
  19. If you do not know what to do with it, i will sacrifice myself to get it out of your hands
  20. Starting to collect parts for my Nissan King Cab project. The chassis looks pretty complete at first glance. The only major parts i am missing are the following: - Front bumper (B8 in the manual) - 2 tires - don't need to be new but in good shape (p/n 6205036) And then the obvious for any restoration: a new body and decals which probably will be the biggest challenge. In case you have any of the above in your stash, please PM me and i am sure we will be to work something out. Many thanks, Dominique
