XV-01T Rebuild - Slow with Qโs! ๐
Grumpy pants replied to Grumpy pants's topic in Build Tips and Techniques
A few knocks and bangs, I suspect the guy I bought the shell from used the wrong paint type though. -

This is where Iโm at, a basic clean to get the grot out, wipe it over and then go again. Iโll want to get these runners dirty and then dirty again and again, Iโll leave my OCDโs for the vintage shelf queens ๐ฅณ -

Well, reverse it back and I can move on to the irritation of sorting the Blitzer steering next ๐คฆโโ๏ธ -

I thought I reset my steering after last weeks out and itโs still not right. Itโll back on the ramp after once the XV has reverse again ๐คฆโโ๏ธ -

CW-01 wheelie bar - better way of fastening?
Grumpy pants replied to JimBear's topic in Build Tips and Techniques
I have one of these on my daughters LB. It works well, however the tyre does come off the wheel sometimes, which is mildly irritating ๐ -

@Busdriver - itโs looking much healthier now! -

XV-01T Rebuild - Slow with Qโs! ๐

This is true, I think the work around is too run 2-3 packs through at a time. Otherwise itโs a lot of maintenance relative to the time spent driving. -

The XV was irritating me today, so I put it away - Reverse kicked in very occasionally or mostly not all, unless I almost maxed out the throttle trim ๐คฆโโ๏ธ I assume you can use one of the settings in the handset? -
Wishing you a speedy recovery and good health ๐

I unexpectedly had today off work, my plan was to start cleaning up the XV, however my wife cancelled all her gym classes so we could spend the day together - itโs been lovely to be fair, although Iโve just had the last hour Tamiya fiddle faffing - -

Fantastic x2 ๐

I think the rear wheel arches will help save the inside of the body shell from gravel rash and damage.

Hornet steering ok, but motor doesn't run
Grumpy pants replied to Chuck Norris's topic in General discussions
Hi Chuck, Welcome to TC! Personally I remove the motor from the car, leaving it still connected to car and then try it. Or if you have a spare motor connect it to the ESC and then try and run it. -

For just over ยฃ20 the hoover has it limitations, but secretly I quite like having my own mini hoover ๐ and it serves a purpose. TBH shaking the car upside down and then using a painters brush is more effective ๐
