Had a blast around our garden after cutting the grass with my Blitzer Beetle, very enjoyable, except that I seemed to hit every obstacle in it ๐ณ, then started fitting the electrics to my XV-01.

Daffy the DF01 2WD Bitsa Winter Project

Nice project! -
I bought the parts and never built the shocks to be fair, the tip would have come from another TC member or 2. I bought some RCChannel coil over shocks and they have been pretty good.

The best fix for ReRe dampers is using TRF O rings and green slime. I can give you the part number later on today.

Great work on these, earlyTamiya like these are more like actual models turned into r/c arenโt they? Lots of small parts, really nicely detailed and not the type of r/c you want to be too heavy handed with.

XV-01T Rebuild - Slow with Qโs! ๐
Grumpy pants replied to Grumpy pants's topic in Build Tips and Techniques
Thanks Kev, in my head the plan is to get all the weight in, ESC, servo, battery and then work backwards from there. Then set up the shocks, steering and body shell, what do you think? -

Agreed, looks too high unless itโs on a forest stage ๐ What grease/lube do you use here? The manual doesnโt show to use any. -

The wheels sit nicely with the width of the body, however whichever wheel set I use one of the front wheels catches the inside edge of the wheel arch which is frustrating - -

Re Re Grasshopper - Top Tips Please!

This should also be the last purchase required for the Grasshopper - I donโt have very many โTโ tools but those that I have I really enjoy using ๐ -

GPโs Build Thread - Scrappy Sand Scorcher

Ok, so pleased with these - ยฃ4.20 all in and some elbow grease. In all fairness, Iโve had to use 4 modern screws and glue a split in a front tyre. Iโll probably do the tyre lettering and then my spending has increased by ยฃ3.59 ๐ -

Shocks and road wheels are now on - tyre foams fitted as well. Would you glue the tyres? Shocks are all wrong ๐คฆโโ๏ธ, the front is too bouncy and the rear end slaps - Iโll wait until the electrics are in and work back from there ๐ณ
