  1. Ditto from me!
  2. The E Max looks pretty mental, I'm sure it must be a lot of fun. I've got 3 daughters and that is a lot of tutting, 'oh dad' and eye rolling! So I'm totally with you guys on that front!
  3. Great job so far, it really looks the business. The colour scheme and the detailing work very well too.
  4. Awesome truck fest. Just need a scale truck stop/cafe to complete the scene!
  5. Tided up our X.B.F after our holiday which meant it took quite a beating. The golf course was fine, but my 6 year old managed to jam the truck under a park car!
  6. Thank you everyone for your posts and helpful info. I've been away, hence the delayed reply.
  7. I've never been keen to go this route, mainly as it usually works out too expensive to make sending any item abroad worth while, but also it involves time and effort on my part that should be used elsewhere. In all fairness, I think past experiences on eBay have also put me off. Now I'm a member of a club...different rules apply and I feel I should at least try and be more flexible and reciprocate. How do you send parcels abroad and small items? What is the most secure and reliable way to do this and cost effective way? I notice some countries appear to be absolute NO NO's, which ones should I Not send too? I appreciate all the responses and the time taken to do so.
  8. I'm still after a nice Blazing Blazer, but my efforts to buy one haven't been going well. But in the vain hope of ever getting one, I bought a set of repo stickers and a back light which arrived safely yesterday!
  9. That is the best looking coffee table in the land z00ter. Just send me the bits that are of no use to you. My runner K.C is just that, nice but by no means a shelf queen. I have some gearbox spares and it is highly likely I'll sell the K.C on some time very soon for spares. I'm still culling cars and stuff and reassessing where I want to be with the whole Tam thing!
  10. I sold my King Cab NIB Body set and stickers today. I went to pack my B.F into my new s/h Beattie's bag and it's too big doh! Even with the wheels off. So the kit bag will hold batteries, chargers, handset, etc.
  11. At the risk of of sounding a bit odd, I cleaned my Beattie's bags which arrived a couple of weeks ago, ready for my dirt! And I tided my work bench and put back together my King Cabs.
  12. These are fair comments J.W, I've defintely felt a bit 'Tucked Up' with a couple of purchases through the forum.I put it down to being a newbie and being inexperienced though. And to be fair I now know more of the right questions to ask and the right prices to pay.
  13. I've just finished culling Handsets, recs, chargers, etc, etc. So I'm now focusing on bringing the over enthusiastic buying of cars down to a managable level, so far I think I sold about 24 and I have about 29 left, give or take 1 or 2. The aim being to get closer to maybe 20 or so.
  14. I'll 2nd that z00ter, I got some double sided sticky pads in the post today...doesn't really stack up very fairly does it!!
  15. I've set up the Xtreme B.F for our holiday Cornwall next week, so it is ready for some running on the beach. Had a little play with my Dremel as well, it will take a bit of practice to really get to know how to use it with skill.
  16. Far too knackered today too do anything useful tonight, normally Tuesday evening are Tamiya night! But work is really intense at the mo and I nearly broke myself in half at my kick boxing session last night, so it will be a hot bath an early night for me. However I did send my silver Hilux off to a new owner yesterday and tonight I have packed and booked the courier for a top T.C member who will be receiving my T.T.C gear set one day very soon. Although I do feel the desire to move on a few more models, so maybe a bit of eany, meany, miny, mo will take place as well!
  17. I bought new boots for my Blitzer front and back, as I plan to run this model quite heavily. These were sensibly priced as a new set of 4 and I thought 'why not' treat yourself!
  18. Ordered the Steering arms for our runner ReRe Sand Scorcher late Sunday after a tough outing and they arrived 1st thing this morning. This is the 2nd time the stub axle has come out of the hub carrier, is this a weakness on these items or am I doing something wrong?
  19. It's was 3 batteries! I'm happy anyway and I'm looking forward to using them a lot.
  20. Got my girls playing outside today between heavy rain sessions and we broke out the BratFoot and a Scorcher! I was going to sell our Vintage Clod Buster, but my eldest has taken a shine to it after running it around today for the 1st time, so that scuppered that plan!
  21. I bought some new batteries which I've never done before, so I'm feeling very pleased with myself. T.C recommendation for the 3300 version, but these came up at just over £64 inc delivery. They are a tight fit, but they do go in my XBF, WW2 and L.B so far. They are 7.2 NiMh 4300 mAh. Size 13.5 L x 4.7 W x 2.4 D in cms approx. I'm just not ready to go lipo yet, it's too fast for the kids. I will go that route sometime soon but just for me!
  22. So I've just worked out that a sale of my Hilux at £346 inc post and packing has cost me £47 just in fees. So the net price after postage is £287. That's astonishing that the selling fees are so enormous.
  23. This is going to be one very cool build. I will be watching this thread with great interest. Great story and background with your showroom entry as well berman.
  24. This is great info for a numpty, I mean newbie. I've got 6 runners and each one will now have its own specific handset and I have plenty of handsets and recs. It's all good in the hood!
  25. I've just been looking at my eBay invoice and I hadn't quite realised how expensive it is to sell this way. I've always worked on a 15% loss of the sale price! but I'm not convinced I was allowing enough even at this level. Inset fees, reserve fees, and then you pay commission to eBay on the postage you charge. So if you offer postage at cost at say £12.00 you then pay eBay 10% commission on this as well... And then to add Insulate to injury Paypal robs you of commission for the sale and then takes commission on the postage as well. So it is double bubble every which way. Any tips for for making selling more cost effective. Gumtree just doesn't seem to generate decent enquiries when I've tried before.
