  1. Wife or not, it is about managing yourself. Spend only what you can comfortably afford. Buy only what you need or are going to make use of. Our house - bills & kids, always 1st priority - then gym, social stuff and a bit of Tamiya. My hobby spending fluctuates, but I do monitor my outlay carefully as it can quickly escalate ๐Ÿ˜ณ. November I bought 2 used runners, so in December I didnโ€™t buy anything at all. January it is highly unlikely I will spend anything either, as this is one the most expensive months of the year for our household. Tamiya for Christmas and birthdays is great and there are always good deals on eBay, you just have to be patient and know your values.
  2. Happy New Year everyone ๐ŸŽ‰
  3. Thankfully I have a new nose cone in my spares purchase from @BuggyDad. I havenโ€™t got the skills or patience to glue the broken nose back together ๐Ÿ˜‚
  4. Just made a small direct order with TTP, free postage and 10% off, happy days ๐ŸŽ‰
  5. After 6 weeks of heavy incoming artillery, from 3 sides Iโ€™ve found a few moments to play today ๐Ÿ’ฅ Iโ€™ve swapped out the ESC, servo and fitted a Tamiya 510000 servo saver, and after many unsuccessful attempts trying not too crash I can confirm my BB is good to go again at long last -
  6. Merry Christmas everyone.
  7. The Top Force, all day every day, the build mirrors your sons kit - being built stock, pre painted, hop ups later and it will be run. Youโ€™ll be able to build step by step together and run them together - The EVO being โ€˜dadsโ€™ buggy and the one your son will remember forever and want for nostalgic reasons later on in life.
  8. Looks great, lots to like here. I particularly like the windscreen deflector, a very neat touch ๐Ÿ‘
  9. Phenomenal work @jonboy1 ๐Ÿ’ฅ
  10. I bought mine in 2014 as a NIB kit from Fusion Hobbies for around ยฃ100 delivered.
  11. It looks like it has 4 wheel steering?
  12. Defo not LB, they look like the MP body posts to me.
  13. Are these tyres any use to you Cy? Happy to stick them in the post for you.
  14. Looks great and ready for action now!
  15. Beautiful, congrats ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
  16. Iโ€™ve got a set of wheels just like this ones as well โฌ†๏ธ๐ŸŽ‰
  17. Iโ€™ve got a spare Rough Rider shell and Iโ€™ve just bought a DT02 ๐Ÿ˜‰
  18. For me it would have to be Sand Scorcher or a Lunchbox. Thinking about it, a Blitzer Beetle would cover my VW and Tamiya love in one hit.
  19. Pound for pound youโ€™ll have much more fun continuing to run the car you have and then selling it as and when you are ready. By the time youโ€™ve bought a new kit and all the items you need, paint, bearings, pinion, ESC, servo, you will have spent more than you will lose between a mint vintage WO and a used vintage WO.
  20. Great tips, fantastic information ๐Ÿ‘
  21. Another great thread @skom25 ๐Ÿ‘
  22. This is gorgeous and they are fantastic shelf pieces as well. The 1/8 scale so good. Hope the selling goes well.
  23. @Busdriver what tyres do you use?
  24. Happy to help out if I can ๐Ÿ‘
