Wife or not, it is about managing yourself. Spend only what you can comfortably afford. Buy only what you need or are going to make use of. Our house - bills & kids, always 1st priority - then gym, social stuff and a bit of Tamiya. My hobby spending fluctuates, but I do monitor my outlay carefully as it can quickly escalate ๐ณ. November I bought 2 used runners, so in December I didnโt buy anything at all. January it is highly unlikely I will spend anything either, as this is one the most expensive months of the year for our household. Tamiya for Christmas and birthdays is great and there are always good deals on eBay, you just have to be patient and know your values.

Thankfully I have a new nose cone in my spares purchase from @BuggyDad. I havenโt got the skills or patience to glue the broken nose back together ๐ -
Just made a small direct order with TTP, free postage and 10% off, happy days ๐

ReRe Blitzer Beetle Shocks and Motor Advice

After 6 weeks of heavy incoming artillery, from 3 sides Iโve found a few moments to play today ๐ฅ Iโve swapped out the ESC, servo and fitted a Tamiya 510000 servo saver, and after many unsuccessful attempts trying not too crash I can confirm my BB is good to go again at long last - -
Merry Christmas everyone.

Dual son and dad builds. Saint Dragon and TFE
Grumpy pants replied to BuggyDad's topic in The Builds
The Top Force, all day every day, the build mirrors your sons kit - being built stock, pre painted, hop ups later and it will be run. Youโll be able to build step by step together and run them together - The EVO being โdadsโ buggy and the one your son will remember forever and want for nostalgic reasons later on in life. -
Looks great, lots to like here. I particularly like the windscreen deflector, a very neat touch ๐

Iโve got a spare Rough Rider shell and Iโve just bought a DT02 ๐

For me it would have to be Sand Scorcher or a Lunchbox. Thinking about it, a Blitzer Beetle would cover my VW and Tamiya love in one hit.

Wild one - preservation or runner?
Grumpy pants replied to Steel bearings's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
Pound for pound youโll have much more fun continuing to run the car you have and then selling it as and when you are ready. By the time youโve bought a new kit and all the items you need, paint, bearings, pinion, ESC, servo, you will have spent more than you will lose between a mint vintage WO and a used vintage WO. -
